Right? Reggie Miller mispronounced it every time.
I'll never forget how Steph Curry avoided shooting in the paint and instead passing the ball out because Victor was lurking. That's a massive presence to cause one of the best paint finishers in the game to think twice.

Y'all americans can't pronounce anything right. I mean y'all pronounce "homage" like Ho-Match![]()
It's insane, it's why Chet has faced over double the shots against him than Victor has, even though minutes played is pretty similar
Nice. Where'd you get that stat?
A few weeks ago during pregame, the announcer when bill isn't there gave the stat. Idk where to find it outside of that

I'm trying to find the last time a player's had a triple double with assists AND a triple double with blocks in the same season. Not so easy to find that stat.
Pop 100% let Wemby chase that triple double. He played longer in the 4th there and got pulled straight after.
Good stuff, interview with Wemby’s trainer
Wasn't Victor +2500 in the off-season to lead the league in blocks? Damn why didn't I drop a hundred on that.
Lmao love Wemby’s reaction on getting that 10th block. It’s like he couldn’t believe it. I guess, as a 20 year old professional, he’s still also just a kid at heart. And that’s good for him to have moments like this, especially after that Nets game. Sucked they were doing an overrated chant, thankfully he managed to shut them down and make them believers somewhat.
So I compiled the stats and found this :
Victor Wembanyama is the first rookie to record at least a triple double with assists and another one with blocks in NBA history.
Others have done it but they were at least in their 5th season in the league. Full stats :
