I don't think it's hold the Spurs back. They just aren't making any moves at the moment.
Which is the smart thing to do.

Starting to think Atlanta should have traded him if they were not willing to do whatever it takes to keep him. Hindsight I know, but its a blow.
They DID trade him - for Dwight and +/- $45MM in cap space.

    But he was"blown away"
If "blown away" can't get it done, I'm pretty sure "adequately impressed" doesn't stands much of a chance.

    Huh.

I didn't believe the "blown away" leak but this is somewhat surprising. And then news that Durant was trying to pitch Horford to OKC and that's gone. Still think Durant stays, but he's got to wonder if Westbrook is leaving next year.
He couldn't assure Horford that westbrook was staying... Very telling tbh.

Wasted four hours of Durant's time and ended up going with Austin Rivers instead. That's some good work.

Durant is a beta and has never experienced free agency. He was "blown away" by the Clips. He will probably be "swept off his feet" by the Spurs. Then he will be "completely mind ed" by the Heat. Its all bull .

No one's holding their breath on him coming here. I think most just want to move on already.

This FA period has gone by in a blur. Last year it seemed teams were waiting for the big chips to fall first.

The highest IQ move for Durant is to come to SA, so you know he wont do it. Basketballers are dumb mother ers.

No one wants to play long term in Oklahoma

Please Dallas land Barnes so you can even be more terrible than you already are and committed long term to an average player. Why are they waiting so long to sign him to an offer sheet?

Great to see these young s force the Dan Gilberts of the world to give them these bloated contracts.

It's like Robin Hood but instead of stealing from the rich to give to the poor, it's stealing from the uber rich to give to the rich...

    God bless America tbh.

    A few notes:

Woj bleeds!! First time I've seen him back peddle.

How does it make sense that ATL is ok paying Horford 130M but they draw the line at 6M total (1.2M a year for 5 years) ?!

Interesting that Horford nixed OKC because KD didn't commit long term....interesting.

So you're suggesting if KD doesn't come to the Spurs, he's a low BBIQ player?? Uh...ok. As you suggest.
