I'm gonna have to stop following him if this is all bs. Can't handle it
Demetrius Knox also likes to mess with people on twitter, he's teasing a big announcement today but last time he did that it was something unrelated.

It could be different this time, but I'm not holding my breath. See the quote from 24/7 below. Gresham's only offer is UT (that we know of) so it looks pretty good.
"It may happen today. Me and Daniel (Gresham) both. We have to make a lot of calls first."
Quote from 2014 OL Demetrius Knox (OrangeBloods):
"Really thinking about it (committing)," Knox texted.
"...but we don't know anything without this call. We have to wait a couple hours."
My two guesses for the above:
a.) They can't commit until the UT coaches get back from practice and take their call.
-OR-
b.) Knox/Gresham are calling several schools to see if anyone will offer Gresham before they commit to UT.
QB Brandon Weeden named the Cleveland Browns' starter today. Hope that's the first step towards Colt getting out of there. I was disappointed when the Green Bay rumors didn't pan out.

Inside Texas just posted that 2014 RB/FB Daniel Gresham is meeting with his parents about a potential commitment.
Monday practice pics are up:

Daniel Gresham @Dgresh33
great to know that @meechy77 (Knox) and i will be spending the next few years together at the same college!!!!
2014 OL Demetrius Knox says he will NOT be making a decision today, but all of phone calls he needed to make have been taken care of. He said expect something in "the next couple of days."
Demetrius Knox @meechy77
Just got off the phone. Nothing is happening today but something will in the next couple of days that's all I can say. @Dgresh33
Something tells me offering Gresham to get Knox was another Major master stroke.
Per 24/7, 2014 blue-chip OT Braden Smith of Olathe, KS should be officially offered by UT soon. If you remember this kid has quite the story. His coach said before the summer started that he wouldn't be participating in any camps, visiting any schools or talking to any college coaches until their high school season was over. He even skipped the Rivals Five-Star Challenge. He has a sister currently attending TCU.

Knox apparently said that RSJ will be a horn. Not sure of the source, but that's what some people on TA are saying.
Nothing Knox says should be taken seriously, assuming he did say that. I do think we have the best shot to get RSJ.
Also, more pictures have been added to the first day practice photos, just letting everyone know. This includes one picture of Fera and King, who Mack said wouldn't be practicing the first few days but there they are (unless the caption is wrong).

Big visit news for the days to come. 2014 DE Solomon Thomas is attempting to set up a trip to UT for Thursday and 2014 S Jamal Adams will be in town with his family this weekend. His mother hasn't had a chance to see campus yet and her seal of approval is thought to be the last step towards an eventual commitment. Don't forget 2014 QB Jerrod Heard is scheduled to be in town with his family as well. The official offers have really lit a fire under some of these kids. That's three Top 100 prospects in Austin one after the other assuming they all make it in.

Anyone know how Ash looked yesterday?
Good article from HornsNation on the development of QB David Ash over the past year:

10 cities have been asked to bid on the new Champions Bowl:

Well...looks like you guys were right. Per Dalton Santos, the opener will be a 7pm kickoff.
2014 DE Andrew Williams of McDonough, GA is another top OOS prospect that could be on Texas' radar. He hasn't had much contact with the staff to this point but he says he's always been a fan of UT and would like to make a trip to Austin this season if the opportunity presents itself.

"I followed Brian Orakpo all through his college career. That's what drew me to Texas, that's what got me excited when they had an interest in me," Williams said. "All their D-ends aren't that big when they come there, but when they leave they're monsters. That's always amazed me. And Brian Orakpo is one of the best defensive ends in the NFL right now."
"I think I had an all right season, but I guess the coaches saw my size and my pass rush. This summer, I've been trying to perfect that and get that down. And also the strength I have for my size," Williams said. "I can always improve on my size. I'm taller and my frame is a little longer, so just add more mass. That's what most coaches have said. And as always, speed kills, so you can't be fast enough."
"At this point, I don't have any tops, but I've had a long interest in Texas," Williams said. "I'm hoping to make a visit there this sometime, maybe during the season. I'm really interested."
"There are a lot of things that go into if I like a school - like how they produce. Texas really produces. It's pretty far away, but I've managed to watch every other game since Brian Orakpo was there. He's been one of my inspirations."
I haven't seen anything to suggest Ash is favoring that hamstring. This is from Inside Texas:
On the field, Ash excelled today on the deep ball throwing to the outside shoulder while keeping the receiver in bounds. He received lots of praise from Harsin on those plays as well.
Overall Ash had the majority of snaps as we reported he would yesterday. My source say it was about 70 – 30 with the first teamers.
In terms of specific plays, Ash had a big time throw to Jaxon Shipley in team drills to beat Byndom and the safety (mostly the safety). He also hooked up with John Harris a couple of times in tight windows to beat the first team defense according to our guy. More Harris in a minute, but according to my source, there is no QB battle. When I asked about it my source said, “Ash is the man. Everyone knows it.”
