Can I make a request
Can we get 2014 kids updated on the 2014 thread I started, makes it a bit easier to follow 2013 if we keep them separated.
And if we have to do a 2015 let's do that one as well.

No offense, but Tfloss should be the one to create a new topic IMO, if it's even necessary.
i definitely prefer one thread for all updates as it saves time in checking. i don't care if it is '13 or '14 kid i want to see all updates regardless.
plus i'd like to see if floss can get this thread to 500,000 views as a new milestone before it is shut down.
We should only keep one. I don't want to be checking two different places.

Yup...one of his teammates that obviously sees him as a threat ran him off the go cart track and he wound up getting s ches in leg. The wound was pretty superficial from what I heard though. Guess he's making a pretty big impression.

Hearing that new Texas Longhorns K/P Anthony Fera injured his leg and will be out indefinitely. He transferred from Penn State last week.
2014 ATH Nick Harvey of Lancaster was supposedly on campus last week, per OrangeBloods.

The Horns received some nice 2014 commits, but still have unfinished business in 2013. What are the most pressing needs that still need to be addressed by the Texas staff? And who is most likely to fill those voids?

Well defensive end is going to be big. Actually all of the defensive line.I'm starting to hear that RSJ is not going to come back to Texas so the coaching staff really needs to work on that. He is a priority.Defensive backs, like Luke, are also something Texas needs to recruit. But 2014 is a good year for DBs.

I am just hearing things that make me believe he might be interested in another program over Texas if everything works out at that program. Now Texas still has a chance but I put them at a disadvantage right now.

I have to say, you saying Texas has only a 30% chance of landing RSJ almost made me vomit on my desk. After he commits to LSU, any chance UT tries to poach Samples from OSU?

Samples is pretty much done. Texas told him they were off him.I will say that LSU is the leader on RSJ. But TAMU has a lot to offer.Now don;t get too upset. Nobody thought Texas could pull of Shiro Davis and they made some moves to make it happen. But I'm not sure if the right moves can be made in the case of RSJ.
I never trust what UT has to say about injuries, but here's the word on Fera:
"Longhorn junior kicker/punter Anthony Fera came into preseason camp with a groin strain that he recently aggravated, Texas' Head Athletic Trainer for Football Kenny Boyd confirmed on Friday. The Longhorns athletic training staff is holding him out of workouts while they continue to evaluate the injury and allow him to fully recover. There is no timetable on his return, and Boyd said Fera will gradually progress back into action when he is cleared to return."
To follow up on this, Harvey definitely visited UT recently per 24/7. It was the last weekend in July.
If it makes you feel any better, I believe Strickland had Texas at a 40% chance of getting Luke recently. He seems out of touch on certain things and comes across as anti-Texas at times, but I'm not sure anyone really knows what's going on with Seals-Jones.
