criminals will find a way, people accept that criminality will always exist and thats why we have laws and police. but when any mopey mentally ill teenager can get a gun and shoot up their school its not at all the same. and it practically doesnt happen in other countries, and those countries mostly have lower crime rates too despite having criminals, gangs and guns.
quarantining vs mass crowds unmasked is also a terrible analogy, one is indoors the other is outdoors, school children are known to transmit diseases more, and maybe people not knowing what to do in a pandemic that happens every hundred years isnt at all comparable to school shootings that happen several times a year with nothing but duck and cover solutions done about them...

A second grader at Abundant Life Christian School called 911 to report the shooting Monday, Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes told reporters.
“Let that soak in for a minute,” he said at the news conference. “A second grade student called 911 at 10:57 a.m to report a shooting at school.”
