Again they do NOT count season tickets at the gate. They also NEVER count the soccer tickets at the gate from people who see a soccer match. The attendance is far FAR more than 2,000.

Using the information you provided, the logical conclusion is that when the 1200 season ticket holders take their seats in the 1200 arena, the official attendance would be reported as zero.
Bizarre conclusions can result when they are based on information that you provide, but there it is.
There was a post that said they have 800 arena. The actual capacity is something like 1,500 to 1,700 to maybe 2,000 probably.
Let me put it like this. Maroussi arena is listed at the stadia.gr as 1,350 and eurobasket.com says 1,700. I would have to look at ESAKE and at Maroussi basket for more listings.
But I am sure they are all saying something like 1,300 to 1,700.
But the fact is these arenas add small amount of seats gradually over time. About once every couple years Maroussi adds some seats. Definitely the arena is able to hold over 2,000 people now but will you see this listed anywhere?

I asked for a shot of the arena, any shot, that had been taken in the last year -- you know, when these alleged basketball games were played.
In my world view, Greeks are stupid to have that many huge venues in the city that no one wants to rent unless they are forced to by compe ion rules.
