Whiskey, you must have missed dok's say on Favre. When you hate that many people, you are bound to be wrong, a lot.

I actually never knew about that. Shows how much I know. How much did Alexander and LT carry the ball during their MVP years?
I'll have to look it up, but Im pretty sure Alexander came damn near close to a record for carries that year.

pretty sure Alexander had over 360 in 05', his MVP year. Dude hasn't been heard from since

And you have to watch out for the home-run from AP too, he's always a threat to go the distance
Thats not good though. Of course if he gets good blocking he can go the distance, but hes so inconsistent. For every time he breaks a big one he gets tackled behind the line on 3rd and 1 this year.

    What makes you say that?
Their playcalling last time in the red zone. Calling quick passes when Favre was dropping back and carving up? Questionable.

Thats because he broke his foot. 360 carries or not, that will ruin a running backs career.

Theres research been done on it, search the interwebs
LT is a prime example, he fell off hardcore after that one year they used him up.

I don't know about NFL but I heard this on the radio its pretty crazy, it happens every time. It makes me respect Emmit Smith even though I don't give a about cowboys, because he had mad carries like six straight years without a drop off in production.

You know whats sad. They should be calling run plays down their but AP blows...

Like you said though we'll see in the second half. Favre is not the type to get conservative though.

It's the 360 carry rule. He got over-used last season and every running back in NFL history that attempts 360+ carries always has a drop off the following season. The only exception is Emmit Smith.
LaDainian had 360+ carries his second year and came back his third year and had the highest YPC season of his career. But yeah, that's a rule that is pretty damn consistent.

Crazy man. I think most teams think like me and say "Well LT and AP won't run as much this year because we have a good passing game now so there wont be a problem."

I guess you can never heal from all those carries. It makes sense though. Running backs take hits EVERY play.

thats not what i'm talkin about

theres some rule about a certain number of carries where the production falls off the next year

He had 348 carries in 2006 for 1800 yards at 5.1 ypc
next year he had 315 carries for 1474 yards at 4.7 ypc
