    I always find myself defending Spielberg against these poser Cinephiles. Not War of the Worlds Spielberg, mind you, but Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark Spielberg. Those films, even though they're mainstream blockbusters, are among some of the best films of all time, and have just as much artistic merit as any Bergman, Kurosawa, or Fellini film.

    EITS was awesome live at Coac a...Red Sparrowes and Pelican are a couple of my personal faves. TV on the Radio is a high energy thrill and I'm also a huge electronica fan. I'm not pretentious or snooty about music. I don't drink PBR though it is worth hundreds of dollars in China (Pabst Blue Ribbon 1884). Enjoy whomever you like to hear, or what inspires you.     Among 80s songs by a female electronic band I'll take this next one any day. Compared to the song I just linked the lyrics are almost as useless, the images just as random and meaningless (lol postmodernism aka weird for weirdness sake), and, even though I didn't think it was possible, it actually beats the chorus to death even worse than that La Roux song. Plus the chick is actually decent looking. Somewhat.
