No PG in the last 20 years has been the bridge to a championship, Rajon Rondo sure as isn't bucking that trend.
There are only so many champions to go around. And they're aging fast in Boston, Los Angeles and San Antonio.
The exception? Rondo. He's the bridge for the Celtics.
And they know it.
No PG in the last 20 years has been the bridge to a championship, Rajon Rondo sure as isn't bucking that trend.
Rondo is good but your love affair with Rondo is puzzling, cully.
Yes, he murders the Magic and heat on the regular, but Rose busts his ass, Kobe disrespects his game by not playing off him and I HATE PGs that suck at FT's!!!
when the Celts big 3 fades they aint winning . Pierce and Ray are the clutch players on offense and KG on defense. Late in games Rondo "hides" from the rock because he knows he can't knock down clutch Ft's. He is great for 3.5 quarters though ...but his gambling for steals (rondo) has hurt them at times with cheap fouls or having to play 4on5 ...
Great player and not hating but until he fixes those issues he is not a "bridge" IMHO ...
BTW is it because Phoenix dished his rights away, why you have this inflated view of Rondo?

Two minor additions to Melo trade: Denver sends 2nd-round pick to Minny, which sends Kosta Koufos to Denver.
imo knicks didn't get the worst end of the stick.
melo wasn't a lock to sign because of the lock and all. so i say knicks did good.
though i wished they kept chandler

Can u stop FB chattin my lil brother plz??? My dad is pissed
These guys didn't play alone but neither does Rondo in Boston, John Stockton in his two trips to the NBA Finals, or Deron Williams in the Conference Finals, Baron Davis leading the Warriors over the Mavericks, etc.
OK so the best examples you could come up with was when Parker happened to win finals MVP on Duncan's team and when Billups happened to win finals MVP on a team that didn't have a 1st or 2nd or 3rd option; every starter was equal to the other. Thanks for proving my point, no PG in the last 20 years has been the clear cut alpha dog on a le team.
Btw neat pictures, they were very educational and inspiring! I had no idea Billups and Parker won finals MVP! 2 finals MVP awards for the PG in 20+ years, what a convincing argument! I want Demarcus Cousins to play for the Pistons! etc.

Not at all. I just believe in him. He's a thorobred champion. Born to it. It's innate.
The last three by him at the end of Game 7 was amazing in it's concept and execution.
great logic.....Rajon Rondo made a wide open 3 the Lakers were begging him to take so he's a thorobred champion.....regardless of the fact he played like in the finals outside of that 3.
Come ta Pappy!
how crazy would it be if Nuggets were really good after this trade. I can actually see them being a more balanced team and surprising a lot of people.
^Kyle would be overjoyed.
tee, hee.
The Nuggets will suck after losing their only superstar.....just like the Suns suck after losing their only superstar
let us proceed.....
Uh, uh, none of that crapola. Your team is the Nuggets, and daddy-O, you're livin' with that.
Actually my new team is the Knicks....as long as Sarver owns the Suns I now cheer for them to lose just as vehemently and passionately as you do. The only reason I still cheer for anything in this godforsaken pisshole of a state is because of UofA. Once I'm done with school I can move to the East Coast and look down on Arizona like the smart states in this country do.
Uh, uh, none of that crapola. Your team designation states Nuggets, and that's it. You don't like it, change it. Otherwise, it's strictly heel & toe.
Your it, Kyle.
You can drop the charade.....I know you know who I am. If I could change my team affiliation I would.....but.....Mrs. Ellis won't let me, and this is a troll I borrowed from someone in the first place.
I don't do trollsPERIOD
I have no choice but to do trolls after getting banned for something I said in the "anything goes" forum.
Ok, I'll step out of policy for moment:::make it right with Kori. Don't excuse your behavior by citing her's. You were wrong. And you knew it when it happened. In the interim you've become defensive and petty.
How many times people here lauded your work. That wasn't enough. How many people here seriously told you to calm down and get back on track. That wasn't enough.
All you think about is yourself, Duncan. You never think about the loss we have all had to endure because of your rank immaturity. That is a responsibility that you're obviously not up to. And it is terribly sad.
Me becoming defensive and petty has nothing to do with getting banned and everything to do with wanting to nail anyone's ass to the tree of woe who didn't think Turkoglu on the Suns would be the disaster it was. I called it from the minute it happened with perfectly sound logic (Nash and Turkoglu would be a terrible fit) and every Suns fan I know went against that logic because Turkoglu is a "winner", whatever the that means. The day people admit how important Amare was to the Suns' success is the day I apologize to you and Kori.
