That was such luck.
This isn't even the furthest Holland has taken a no-hitter. In his rookie year in 2009, he had two outs in the 6th before giving up the first hit to the Angels. He finished with a complete game shutout with three hits allowed. 96 pitches (73 strikes), 8 strikeouts, and one walk. That is the best start of his career.

He will be hard-pressed to top that one, but he might be on his way. Amazingly, he has already thrown more balls tonight than he did that night. And he has been anything but wild tonight.

Nah..the no hitter was broken by a line drive single into Right Center.
Colby Lewis finished one out away from a CG shutout to match Holland the night before. Make that 9 wins in a row overall; 3 consecutive shutouts and 4 in the last 6.

Looks like Oak-town beat the Angels tonight..with a win against Seattle it's back up to a 3.5 game lead.
OK..scratch that..that's freakin weird...Right when the game ended, ESPN had Oakland as the winner...guess it was wrong..
^ Angels and A's had a double header. Angels won the first and A's won the night cap. So with the Rangers' win, we gained a half game to make it 3 up on the Angels.
Finally gave up a run, but that's all. Got the 10th win in a row! Only 1 run allowed in the last 4 games. We were 1 up at the break. This has been a successful 2nd half so far for sure.

i'm pretty sure the Rangers went into Anaheim last season on a similar streak (winning 13 out of 14 i believe) and ended up losing the series

i dunno.. in Oakland bent us over and raped us.
The Rangers' 11 game win streak last season ended with a loss at home to the DisAstros. But we won the next two games of that series. So yeah, it was 13 of 14 before we went to Anaheim and lost two of three. It broke a string of 8 consecutive series won.
Oddly, our consecutive series won streak is only three right now.
