Great QBs don't mismanage the clock at halftime and give away free points.
We saw a rookie QB come within a FG of winning back to back road playoff games. He did it by being cool, running the ball and throwing. Watching the kid play was like watching a seasoned vet. No fumbles, no INT's (can't count a hail Mary) he did everything a great QB does and he's only a rookie.
Without question the rookie of the year. Without question a SB in the not too distant future.
All those who are so color blind it clouds your judgement will never get it. Those of you "still" thinking RGIII/Andrew Luck played better are simply stupid.
Great QBs don't mismanage the clock at halftime and give away free points.
Come on man even you can't be that dense, you know as well as I do the kid played fantastic and had a great season for a rookie QB. Didn't the great Peyton Manning throw a game losing INT..well? Stop fighting it slick and start dealing with real life. Russell Wilson played incredible this season and only some dumb wouldn't admit that. Too smart to run around like a running back, too smart to throw a ton of INT's, like our other rookie QB's. Great great season by a guy who will be one of the elite QB's in the league for awhile.
Yes he wasn't perfect but who was?
Yeah, Peyton Manning threw a game losing interception and it's gonna severely cripple his legacy.
No one was perfect, but he was the only one who gave away 3 points with horrible clock management.
I thought Seattle was the best team in the NFC coming into the playoffs and had them going to the NFC le game, but they simply blew it yesterday.
Lynch fumbles in Falcons territory.
Seattle passes up on a FG to go for it and get stopped.
Someone burned Seattle's final timeout and then Wilson takes a sack and loses 3 more points on the board.
Then after dominating the 2nd half and taking a lead with 30 secs left, the defense tries to blitz and lets Ryan completes two long passes to get them in FG range.
This choke job was as bad as the Saints loss to the Niners last year.
Even great quarterbacks make mistakes sometimes, and Russell Wilson is still young.... the biggest thing is that he bounced back from that clock management -up by almost leading them all the way back for the win (until his defense and head coach failed him), while the Schaubs of the world would have just given up and accepted the blowout, tbh.... Wilson has the skills AND the mentality to be an elite quarterback, the Seahawks really lucked out, tbh...
You wanna compare Peyton Mannings rookie season to what Wilson had? How about John Elway, Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Brett Favre, Aaron Rodgers, Drew Brees, Eli Manning..well? Thinking RGIII the gimp, and Andre "The INT" Luck had better seasons is a joke.
The guy was amazing and all of us who know the NFL are aware of that.
Look at yourself slick all youi can do is harp on one bad play, hahaha!!!!!!!!!
I can also harp on the scoreboard as well.
So you don't wanna compare all those great/HOF QB's rookie season to what RW had, right? Smart move because if ya did you'd see RW had it all over all of them.
His team lost.
So did Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning. Where was Eli Manning, Drew Brees in these playoffs?
Didn't the kid bring his team back from 20 down to take the lead? Did Andrew Luck come back?
