Btw NLS... incredible how godly our inside 3 offensive lineman have become. What a ing turnaround from last year. The Norwell UDFA signing is probably in the top 3 moves Gettleman has made in his tenure.

I was thinking that last night. Incredible how that right side has turned around. Turner is going to be a beast for a long time, and the most surprising part is that our draft pick Daryl Williams got injured in the first game, he was supposed to start.

N0 LyF3 ScRuB, early line on the game is good guys giving seven. Personally I actually think that's a little low. If we're putting up 27 points a game against top 10 philly and seattle defenses, I could see us closing in on 40 against the putrid Colts D, especially given Luck's proclivity to throw INTs. And it sounds like their coach is teetering on getting canned, so that's not gonna help them. I'm thinking something like 37-13 final score, tbh.

The Panthers as a HF the last three seasons a gaudy 11-3-1, Colts as a RD in the same time frame 4-7. That's a 18-7-1 trend favoring the Panthes in this "spot".

Cam should play well, but we're not going to put up 40, tbh..

If anything we get a huge lead early and coast. But Luck isn't going to go out like that and he will mount a comeback. We should get the W here if we play like usual.

Coach Ron Rivera's quote from practice:
We're going to run the ball when we want to. We are going to run the ball when we have to. And we will run the ball when you know we're going to. This is a smash mouth, physical team, and no one will change our game plan.

It's true, Carolina runs the ball 48% of the time, over 4% more than Minnesota (43.8%).

    The 85 Bears had it....Walter Payton/defense

That undefeated Dolphins team had it.....Larry Csonka/Mercury Morris/defense

    The Seahawks....Marshawn Lynch/defense

    Those Harbaugh Niner teams...Frank Gore/defense

So many good things happen when you can run/stuff the run.

How do you like this SuperCam?

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300...uld-make-sense

SIX TRADES THAT ABSOLUTELY MAKE SENSE

Calvin Johnson, WR, to the Panthers

The thing that might make 1-6 Detroit want to move Johnson -- his high salary -- is also the thing that makes trading him very difficult. However, this is about trades I'd like to see, and Johnson to the Panthers makes sense. 6-0 Carolina has obviously been pretty good, but the team needs a wide receiver, and I'm not sure how far the Panthers can get without adding help. And while the 30-year-old Johnson might be picking up fewer yards per catch this season (13.3) than at any other point in his career, he would definitely qualify as help. Of course, Johnson's true value -- the face of the Lions' franchise would be worth a second-round pick at least -- is much higher than what the team could likely get for him on the market: something like a fifth-rounder, given the level of money involved. Perhaps the Panthers, who would also have to do some tinkering to make the numbers work, would do well to look toward Jeffery instead.

On the Panthers board, it was a pretty popular decision to drop Charles Johnson (and possibly Stewart) next year and spend that money all out on receiver help for Newton.

The only way this trade would work would be the Lions taking most of his cap, and Carolina in return feeding a high draft pick to Detroit - and probably someone like Devin Funchess. Not sure if I'm a fan of Calvin taking up a lot of cap next year.

Not a fan of tying up that much money in an aging receiver, tbh, when i'd rather put the money towards keeping josh, kk, star and our O-line. Given our running based offense i'd rather get a guy with great hands and good route running even if he's not a speed guy or downfield threat. A guy we could rely on for third down conversions. I think Gettleman should spend a 5th or 6th and grab Boldin for this year's run

Did Andrew Luck stay in college an extra year to avoid playing for the Carolina Panthers, who had the first pick in the 2011 NFL Draft?
"Absolutely not," Luck said of the Colts' Monday night opponent, via ESPN.com. "And I hope people don't think that."

I never thought he did, tbh. I mean he couldn't have known what team was picking next season anyway. though he probably would have left early if he knew he'd be drafted by a drunk pillpopper

Our nig KK winning NFC DPOM

Who you think we sign if we're choosing between two of Star/KK/Norman? Honestly think we'd go with the last two, tbh. But from what i've read the 5th year option on Star b/c he was a 1st round pick lets gettleman kick the can down the road a few more seasons

I guess we'll see next weekend if GB can beat Carolina in Carolina. If they lose, then we have home field with a cake schedule.

7-0 despite defense ting itself, tbh

Not feeling good about the Packers if Norwell and Kalil are still out though.
