I'm talking about the actual asset. Haywood's deal is implied.
Yes but he is not on the trading block.

    You don't know that.
Since his name is not mentioned at all what is the point??? I want so and so from a team so let me go post their name as if it will happen, the thing is it is not even rumored in the talks and they are not trading him for Splitter.

Splitter wasn't in the tweet either. Neither were the picks that would undoubtedly trade hands. The tweet said the Spurs and Cavs were talking about Haywood's contract. Haywood and Mozgov for Splitter and Mills fits that tweet as well as Diaw and Mills for Haywood and a first would.

We're getting LaMarcus Aldridge out of it.
Yes and no. It makes it possible to get Aldridge, but you would think you could get more than a salary dump. That's a great deal for Cavs.

Splitter and Mills for Mozgov? I think that would work pretty well short- and long-term.
Didn't they "checkin" on Sasha Kaun, which the Cavs have?

Haywoods name was in the Tweet so that was the focus as far as getting his contract and then dumping it for LA right? They were talking about Haywoods contract indeed, so that is what I was addressing there and someone on another board mentioned Splitter so that is not legit either and I don't know why I threw his name in other than he is on the block. How does Mosgov fit that tweet? His name is not even mentioned like I asked or was it? I agree on the rest.

I bet it was just some bull rumor some blogger made up in their head or some source "HEARD" and it gets thrown out there. I will just wait and see now, all this is irrelevant until something actually happens.

Hey Chinook What did I tell you?
I lol'd at your attempt at portraying yourself as having inside knowledge.

A deal is already in place for Splitter.
Not remotely ground-breaking, as a few of us though so during the draft. Good call, I guess, but no one except haters thought the Spurs would have any trouble moving Splitter. If anything, it's shocking how little they seem to have gotten for him.

    LA is coming to SA.
Predictable, but congrats for the conviction, I guess. If you had inside info, that's really cool. But I'm not inclined to believe it.

    His contract may surprise you.
    It didn't.

    Same with Kawhi on contract.
    It REALLY didn't.

Like I have said before Pop and RC can get creative with these two and make room for Danny Green.
This is what really made me lol. There wasn't any creativity in the structure of Kawhi and especially LMA to allowed them to keep Green. Unless you're talking about Kawhi not getting extended. But that happened back in October, so it's not remotely breaking news.

Da fuq? Ima bout to turn into Lamarcus Aldridge. Chinook and I (and others ) have been painting a picture like this for so long. I even called that LMA would announce his signing today when almost all other reports said otherwise and this gets a ?

Well, no duh. But in a summer where Robin Lopez and other centers are getting huge deals Splitter should have been an asset worth compensation in a trade especially at his salary

If they got a guy for compensation meaning more salary against the cap then how do they sign Green and then LA, not to mention Kawhi?

This was purely a salary dump to sign, not to get a valuable piece in return to count against the cap. They just cleared to sign LA and that is what they got in return.

Yeah, they couldn't take back any salary, but maybe could have traded him for a higher draft pick this season, or possibly a draft pick for next year. I hope the Spurs got something out of it other than a straight salary dump.

A first round draft pick would have been compensation I was referring to. He should be worth at least a late first rounder considering Mozgov went for two first rounders
