i didn't watch it either .. training game for the z-team
we only played trash teams there..
what a load of tbh.
1. portugal is a statistical anomaly. talking about it won't change the fact that europe is a toughest non-wc compe ion. they got lucky, the previous semifinalists were: spain (world champs), germany (world champs), france(WC SF/quarter), italy(world champs) .... meanwhile in copa america you have semifinals with venezuela/colombia/usa
2. some teams had bad years because of artificial causes (italy-calciopoli), against 1st tiers italy has played always like a 1st tier. Chile lost against bra7il twice and lucked two wins against a choking argentina in the junior copa america compe ion. They also got demolished by the netherlands. They can't even progress to a ing WC semifinal to reach a decent opponent.
Meanwhile italy has been a constant threat and got their RING 10 years ago, that's a world cup for son, that ain't an olympic gold or copa america. Italy has been to countless semifinals and they'll be back soon after this calciopoli debacle. They're still a tough 1st tier squad, even if not as talented as the rest of the 1st tiers. They are definately a tougher match than chile, much better tactically, they'll get up to play the big teams and so on. You are right about italy choking the past 2 world cups, but they've been very good in europe and did well against 1st tiers and given the compe ion (they lost at the euros to the world champs twice) you'd have to be crazy to not call them a 1st tier. Chile hasn't done , they can't even beat a handicapped brazil side on which we layed SEVEN.
How about these for facts.
3. argentina has talent coming out of their ass but there is no hope in sight for them because without a GOAT level talent they never do , they'll beat some poor nigeria/south korea/whatever 5-0 and then proceed to lose 1-0 to germany, italy, france, etc. That's why I'm saying there is no hope in sight because misty is getting old and you are playing such a primitive brand of football that you need overwhelming talent just to compete with the 1st tiers. You needed penaldos to beat a dutch team with 20% of your talent.
real talk son real talk.
4. son besides the great brazil sides its 11-4, many finals have been between european sides too. look at top 4 finishes if you still don't get it , its 56-24 (europe-rest of the world).
if you want a more personal look, we're the only who won it not playing on home soil.
bottom line is we put more teams because we have better teams.
son you know you are my niglet but accept it:
1. football isn't only about talent, otherwise south america would have a much better record.
2. europe was, is and will be the king of the footballing world. misty acknowledged this and so should you.
son the best of africa got imported to europe. That french side is basically africa's continental team.
yes portugal was extraordinarily lucky, why not talk about previous euros to see each champs path, each champ beat 1st tier teams and 2nd tier teams, heck even portugal manned up and beat france at stade de france. look at spain's runs, look at greece's run (tough as tbh), look at france's run.
we call that bracket lucky because it was weak compared to a 5 world champs bracket. it's hard for you to understand what this means, because such a bracket is impossible outside of europe. poland/portugal/belgium are semi final level copa america teams. If they'd be playing in south america you'd call world class teams.
an enlarged tourament is tougher because you play the same teams you'd usually play AND other teams. stats fail here.
such a failed post tbh.

his career took a turn for the worst
