Aldridge coming back this soon with seemingly nothing serious about his heart condition is huge for the Spurs making push at it..
If both teams current play stand SA should get Top seed with games to spare..
This game might have lost them the top seed.. in Portland on B2B...
As I said, they were never getting it. Might as well have pissed it away with enough time left that they don't run key players into the ground in pursuit.
Or a disaster.
No way. It's March 15th.
That Blazers loss is going to be killer..Warriors have the easier schedule down the stretch....
Let's hope the Bucks can do us a solid tomorrow..
Yeah Go Bucks and Go Spurs on 3/29. It's still within reach.
Yup. And GS could still drop a winnable game or 2 themselves , sans KD. Definitely still up for grabs
As I was saying. No chance at all.
#2 it is. Also lol Pop throwing away winnable games earlier in the season when the team is close to taking the 1st seed
CROFL.. like it would have mattered with the way they are playing right now![]()
Right as interesting as it would've been to pursue the top seed, with the way they've played the last 3 weeks the Spurs have bigger issues at hand.
They gotta get their act together for whoever they matchup with.
Any chance we drop to the 3 seed?
Thunder loss brought back the narrative of blitzing the Spurs early and go at them hard and they will fold because they are an intellectual euro finesse type team.
Nope, the likelihood of that is zero as well
As long as they're playing they're playing their best basketball of the season that's all that matters.
Green, Mills and Parker I'm looking at y'all...
The Sixers chokejob gave the emotionally dependant Dubs all the momentum they needed and so 2 games back might as well be 20 games back, tbh. We're 2nd seed and we'll have to deal with it.
Spurs haven't won a series without HCA since 2010 vs the Mavs...In fact they have been upset with it 3 times (Memphis '11, OKC'12, OKC'16)..
Pretty much. The season is almost over and they have guys out of rhythm and others just coming back from injury. They aren't playing well as a team so that's what's worrying.
I gave up on the 1st seed frankly. The past couple of games were about getting Lamarcus going. I expect Pop to try to get Tony going as well and for an assortment of sightings in games bc Pop also has other young players who he needs to see in certain events and matchups.
Kiwi is going to have to build his own legacy. This is definitely his team now, the ball is his and hopefully he can deliver.
The Spurs still have a small chance of getting the 1 seed but it will be difficult from this point forward. If they don't get it they have only themselves to blame. We'll see how it goes from this point forward.
