I'd love to hate on Westbrook, but if the answer to his amazing stats was simply "ball-hogging," why has nobody accomplished what he has done in 50 years?
Drake has been bodied by Common, Joe Budden, Kendrick, etc. without any response. And Views was trash. Nobody takes Drake seriously anymore. He still sells lots of records, but so do Nickelback and Justin Bieber.
Drake doesn't even belong in the same language as Jay, let alone the same sentence. Jay is one of the best to ever do it. Drake is a hypebeast who relies on ghostwriters, biting any sound/flow that is popular at the moment, and stealing songs from the artists he signs for his own albums.

Exactly....... everyone acts like he is out there all alone. No one on the other side is playing defense. If someone wanted to halt his triple doubles, they should double team him. Hate the game, dont hate the playuh.![]()
Damn did Cowherd just say OKC is 10-0 in Russell's 10 games of fewest fga this season?![]()

Screw that got. If I was at 41, I would damn sure make sure I set the new record at 42. Records are meant to be broken. Besides that when WB gets a trip dub they win 80% of the time. I already stated this . So its a win win.
ya and OKC is 10/0 when he doesnt shoot like a
what W is doing there is simply put disgusting... he can go himself, never has won anything never will
Either way, putting up huge scoring numbers or smaller scoring numbers but still a triple double and they win. Look it up, run the numbers.
because nobody was selfish enough to put his personal numbers above the well being of his team/teammembers. plus he can do whatever he wants in okc, the whole system is designed to get him tripdubs. pathetic.
The problem with that 80% argument is that it assumes the triple doubles are coming organically, and that when RWB didn't get one, he and his team wasn't trying to get one.
The issue is, if a team is centering the entire purpose around getting a player to have a triple double, the team is also tuning its success around it. It is the same as having a volume scorer score all the points for a team (see AI 6ers). Guess what happens when said scorer can't score? They lose.
Same thing is happening to RWB and the Thunder. The entire idea is for RWB to get a triple double, and if he isn't getting one, it means that the system failed, and as such, the team losses at a higher rate.
Another note, James Harden has 21 TDs this year already, that is the most TDs since Oscar did it 50 years ago. I wonder why nobody can get to those heights in 50 years, and then all of a sudden, TWO players did it in the same season. It appears this is more a cir stantial situation more than anything else. Again, not dogging on the accomplishment because i think it's amazing, but I do question why suddenly two players in the same year can do something that wasn't done for 50 years.
Doesnt not matter one bit. If you win with a system, what is the problem. I could see if him avergaging a trip dub accounted in a 40% win percentage, but it results in a win. So there should not be any issues with it. Noone said when Curry jacks up 3's when you have a fast break or when he takes a bad 3 in crunch time. If you win, it doesnt matter.
Eitherway OKC is 46/34 with 18/22 on the road
and is 10/0 when Westchimp stays in check and let his teammates opportunity to play
you are a Spurs and Duncan fan, not sure how you can defend a brainless dude passing up a wide open corner 3 to stat pad his assists or play 40 mn in meaningless games when POs are around the corner.
Except OKC is not 80% OKC is 46/34 because guess what you can't get triple doubles for all 82 games
So this system about force feeding a single player is nice to get a certain player records not to progress as a team
LOL..........thats the ONLY reason they are 46-34. Without his trip dubs, they are 24-58 and heading to the lottery.![]()
lol snowflake. will give up on a hobby because of a media award![]()
no OKC has good players there are no reasons why they should not a > 50 wins team easily especially in this watered down league... Only reason they suck is because their star player is an ego maniac chasing records instead of trying to help his team get better.
dude is a massive chimp shooting like one... 42% usage![]()
This man. I'd give Harden the MVP. He's putting up killer stats while still winning a lot of games with a weaker supporting cast than either Westbrook or Leonard have.
Agreed...I'd go Kawhi (no homer tbh) Harden Lebron and Westchimp
Kawhi has it all, he is efficient, play both side of the ball, his team second best in the league and his team is quite crap without him but I have no issue with a harden pick... but westchimp... please.. how in it is valuable for his team to pass a wide open corner 3 to stat pad his assists and by consequences how that is being the most valuable of the league...
Agree
but i have one problem picking harden. he sets a new record for most to in one season. cant give him mvp for that. for me its kiwi or lebron
The Thunder have by FAR the worst supporting cast compared to Cleveland, Houston and the Spurs. aint even close.![]()
DMC better enjoy watching whatever else. He wont be watching basketball, because WB is about to MVP .
Yeah Clint Capella and Ryan Anderson are better than Stephen Adams, Enes Kanter, and Taj Gibson. I don't think the Lou Williams trade makes up for that deficit in the frontcourt.
Then it speaks to an enabling system, and not around how Westbrook is the best since the Big O.
Frauden's stats are a product of the officiating, and Nenê, Gordon, Anderson and Ariza on anyone Westbrook's been playing with.
Westchimp is making them worst than they are... Oladipo is 24 y/o shoots better from everywhere than wb but his usage is lowest of his young career... how do you want him to progress with this ball hog ?
