Luka Samanic - 2019 NBA Draft Prospect

didn't Timmy was supportive of drafting Luka? that probably play a big part of us getting him.

He evaluated him but I think Spurs already had eyes on him months prior like even almost a year. Not sure.

Spurs will probably avoid drafting international players for a while esp. for a 1st round considering what happened to the following:

- Livio Jean-Charles
- Nikola Milutinov
- Luka Šamanić




Maybe the reason why they didn't drafted Alperen Şengün.

I doubt it will have any effect at all. Every potential player is different, and from a unique set of cir stances. Yes, Samanic did his thing, but so did Doncic, Jokic, and Sabonis. I don't think the Spurs are stupid enough to look at Lonnie Walker's terrible
analytics and conclude "Oh gosh, maybe we should stop drafting black guys born in the USA." A Europlayer just led the Bucks to a le, after another Euro won league MVP. Samanic's at ude & shortcomings don't represent euro players as a whole in any way whatsoever.
