So, honest question... is this the Wemby you want to see on the offensive end? Basically if he has a great shooting night, his stat-line will be very impressive and if he has an average shooting night it will be less so and we probably lose by a bigger margin. If he has a terrible shooting night, we lose big.
This is not the final version though. It is still a work in progress. I would like to think a more seasoned Wemby will rely on taking what the defense is giving him, while adjusting to how he is performing in-game.

But before we get there, he and the Spurs are bent on exploring every facet of offense that Wemby thinks he can eventually excel at.

For the sake of our sanity and blood pressure, we should just accept it for what it is and hope it succeeds... eventually.

They smoked us in the paint and then, of course, went to line twice as much. All those 3s cost us the game even though our % wasn't bad. FTs were the difference by a mile.

This one just made me roll my eyes over and over, all the way to the Castle foul.

    At least DV looked decent.

We're becoming like the Rockets during the Dantoni years. If we make the 3's we win. If we don't we lose. But for us, we are n't nearly as good as them so even if we do make a decent amount of 3's, we still lose.
And we usually aren't that good at 3's anyways so thats why we are 4-6.

I miss playing inside out. Penetrate first then dish to the 3. Instead of lets just pass around the perimeter than just settle for a 3, over and over and over again.

Are we all acting as if last season didn't happen now as if we're all discoveing Wemby???

This offensive game makes no sense, he's a role player shooting 3s and setting screens.

It's awful to watch him play like that when you know what he's capable of. What a waste smh

Right, Wemby and Spurs appear to be keeping what he did in the 2nd half of last year in the back pocket.

He wants to try working on improving other things in live game situations. Specifically, his perimeter game. And the Spurs seem to be on board with this.

Best we can hope for is that this pays dividends down the road, tbh.

i know were suppose to have a meltdown but it is the cleanest offensive game i've seen from Wemby. We have a legit downhill guard in Castle and Devin looks real good.

Trade away Champagne, when he and his contract are still valueable, and just run Castle together with Vassell asap
Can't agree. He's on a bargain contract but isn't good enough to get you a first, and this team already has a billion seconds. If his contract is needed as part of a larger trade that improves the team then of course he's movable but on his own I don't see him fetching anything more interesting than just keeping him.

Ayton , Sharpe, and Grant would easily be the second best players on this team after Victor.

Agree with ayton and grant but sharpe is just a basketball meme at this point. Donald trump has seen more court time over the last 2 years

Watching the 2nd half now. Lack of positional size at PF (No Sochan is part of it) was a big issue, especially with the Jazz playing 2 shooting bigs, so they could just march a mismatch down to the block and attach whoever was on their PF (often, Keldon). Keldon, especially with the weight loss isn't big enough to be playing that position when the other team has a genuine big at the PF spot.

Eubanks has no money guaranteed in 2025. Just saying since Mamu can’t get minutes.

Without Pops All Time legacy in play and no chance to make playoff noise, I'm ok with losses.

Just need to flip the switch and don't give the players a feeling that losing is common.

I am thinking about swap rights for 2029, since 2028 and 30 are already with swaps, and you cannot trade for 32 yet.

guard penetration and bad switching on the perimeter was the main reason for the loss. But this isn't as bad of a utah team as we have seen so far. All in all, I am positive about this team being a 4th seed if everyone is healthy, but losing either wemby, sochan or vassell isn't recoverable.

It’s crazy to me that Utah has Markannen, Collins, and Filipowski. They literally have three of the same archetype of player this team needs.
Yeah, really only Markannen moves the needle.

4th seed? If you turn the standings upside down maybe
