So what about this theme of "Queen" next week? I think Chris will do "We Will Rock You", and he'll be great at it...but for the rest of them? Makes me a tad nervous.

I'm going to miss it- Spurs game.

Well it may be just as well. The only one I really like from this cast is Katharine. I thought she was great Tuesday.

Paris is fun to watch but I don't see myself buying her records.

And the rest to me are okay at best. The rest all have their nights but I don't see them having longevity in the music business.

I actually commented to my wife that Mandisa is an attractive woman. Very good singer but I agree with Bishop that she is not, saddly, the image of an "American Idol" but she'll do well if she follows her voice.

I think "Vin Diesel" is very good as are the other guys...the guy with the curly locks and that the other guy..but not the one with the cowboy hat.

Singing Country is not for everyone.

or Rascal Flatts have another album out featuring Nate Dogg or something that I haven't heard about yet?
Tim Mcgraw and Nelly got together on an album.

or has Metallica put out a country album
difference is, metallica isn't music. Its noise.

Ace chose my favorite Keith Urban song ever but as much as I hate to admit it (cuz I hate Chris), Chris did a better job singing Keith Urban. In reality though, the song Chris did is not originally Keith Urban, it's Rodney Crowell.

I will agree that there are several rock bands that aren't that great ... but Metallica is comprised of some extremely talented musicians. But you're not a closed-minded moron demeaning a genre you don't like, so of course you know the difference, right?

And that one Nelly/Tim McGraw song sounds 100% like a country song. And it will until the day Timmy loses his twang. Just because they played it ad nauseum on 96.1 or whatever doesn't make it any less county-sounding.

Someone screaming does not cons ute musician.

the guitar players and drummers are good yes, but its metal noise.

Doesn't make me close minded, stating a fact.

Yeah Nelly sure made it hickafied.

And it will until the day Timmy loses his twang.
    He lost it.

Hes only brought it back cause IMO, he was losing country fans.

Hes music nowadays sounds like soft rock to me.

Yes, it does make you closed-minded...and it's not a fact, it's an opinion. Exactly what you called Simon a face for ... insulting a genre of music he admittedly doesn't like with no regard to the fact that there are some seriously talented musicians singing it...and the fact that there has to be some reason why these screamers have more money than you will see in your lifetime. And I'm willing to bet because there are a lot more people than you who think they aren't just "noise."

Yeah Nelly sure made it hickafied.
The song is primarily Tim McGraw singing...with a twang. Back up vocals from a hip hop artest doesn't make it a hip-hop song.

    He lost it.
Not in anything I've ever heard from him.

PT Barnum has a quote about that.

Youve listened to the wrong version, Mcgraw just sings backup on that song.

That would include every star in every genre...but I guess only the country stars have any actual talent that people actually want to pay to go see. Right.

You didn't have to specifically. People who pay to support rock bands, aka "screamers" are suckers. I know you drop a few dimes going to see country artists' concerts, and I'm only assuming you're not calling yourself a sucker.

Unless you are calling yourself that, then my bad.

Yes TPark, I know exactly which quote you were referring to....hence the bolded "sucker". I was being facetious.
