How much proof do you need? There is plenty of proof. Go back and look at how much these refs (who have been in the NBA for YEARS) have called completely one sided games over the years (especially in the Stern era). They continuously screw up yet are not terminated or even suspended for their horrible work. Any legitimate en y would get rid of poor performers, and yet the NBA PROMOTES them. Why are they PROMOTED to the le of head official? When they continue to screw up? It's obvious - just open your damn eyes. You people are lazy sheep who have been conditioned to take whatever bull gets thrown to you. Think for yourself and look at the evidence

if this were true...you think they would let Det and SA in the finals last year? Wouldn't they have found away for the Lakers to get out of the 1st round to help increase the odds of having that TV market..entertainment..in the finals? Does this mean that the Spurs or Mavs will have no chance against the Clips who will, by this definition, beat Phoenix?

That is the biggest load of Bull i have ever heard...if the NBA were actually trying to "fix" this series then they would want the Spurs and the Pistons to rematch in the finals. I cant comprehend how you could actually believe this load of crap.

THe NBA doesnt want the Spurs and Pistons in the finals!! That was the lowest rated finals in YEARS!! Why would they want that? They want a story that gets people to watch and leads to higher ratings and more advertising dollars. The NBA is desperate. A ING NASCAR RAIN DELAY beat a matchup of Lebron and Kobe (notice they market it like that too, not Cavs - Lakers) in the ratings during April. They are ing extremely desperate, and they know that the Suns, Mavs, or even the damn Clipps would provide much more of a story that that "same old boring Spurs team". I love watching the Spurs and Pistons play because they play team ball. Stern doesnt want that because he only markets superstars and entertainment, not good basketball. He wants a story that turns into good ratings.

Game 1: Mavs 50 Spurs 48
Game 2: Spurs 45 Mavs 22
Game 3: Spurs 26 Mavs 6
Game 4: Spurs 31 Mavs 13
Game 5: Spurs 38 Mavs 23
Game 6: Spurs 21 Mavs 11

So..... it's a big deal to you and everyone else here that the Mavs got 2 more free throws than the Spurs in game 1???

What about the next 5 games when the Spurs basically got DOUBLE or more free throws than the Mavericks in each of those playoff games!?!?!??? Even though Game 5 wasn't double, It still was much more than what the Mavs had.

Let me see you talk your way out of those stats....

The league cannot outright fix basketball because the players, coaches and teams would have to go along. That is why they use the officials to do it. DID YOU WATCH THE LAKERS - SUNS?? The league gave the Lakers so many calls down the stretch to win - the Lakers lost because they are that much worse than the Suns. The officials can only be so bad or else it will be completely obvious. The Spurs series is different. The Mavs are a great team, and the league only has to screw the Spurs in a quarter because the games are so close. I dont care if you agree with me, but I dont see how you cannot see the writing on the wall here. Its only about entertainment and money, and the Spurs dont bring either.

If those are the legit stats then you are probably right. This has been going on for a while, just not as blatant as now. The Spurs with DROB retiring was a much better story for Entertainment than the Mavs that year. So look what happened...

For two of the Championships the Spurs were a good story. They didnt get hammered like they have the last two games.

I'm not saying that the Spurs dont deserve blame for losing. They should have played better and can still play better. The Mavs played great. What I am saying is that the league has an agenda, and will do what is necessary to get what they want. Not a conspiracy, just an agenda to matchup teams that will get ratings. If they need to call games one way or another to make it happen then they will. They are desperate because even ing HOCKEY is bigger in the US than basketball. Stern has done such a piss poor job of marketing the GAME that he now has to resort to this to get ratings. Dont forget that the NFL and even MLB are KILLING the NBA in ratings and advertising money. That is a fact.
