I really don't care what the refs do or don't do. Lets get to the real issue here. The Mav fans don't like the Spurs and the Spurs fans don't like the Mavs. That being said........... THE MAVS!!!!! I live for the day when they will fall. I have never hated a team and its owner so much. Now....try to find some fault with what I have said or insult me if you will. At least I admit what all the rest of you sidestep. May freeze over before Mavs ever get a ring!!!!

I believe Dirk's 3-point play at the end of Game 7 was a result of him going to the rim. I mean, I'll need to go back and double-check that but I'm pretty certain. My memory may be a little foggy, though.
Yes that was one where Dirk went to the rim, drew the foul. Keep rolling the TIVO and watch a few seconds later where Duncan goes to the rim with the rebound, gets hack by Dirk from behind. That was going to the rim too.

I have always, always, always, always, always gone for the team from Texas. When UT was playing USC I was convinicing all my Aggie co-workers to be "Texans for a day" and for UT. Most did. I pulled for the Rockets 10 years ago even after they beat the Spurs (though it wasn't enthusiastic). I am always about Texas.

This is the first time I just CAN NOT root for the team from Texas. I just can't. Something about that series just sat wrong with me. It would have been better if the Mavs had just swept us. I could've lived with them being the better team. But you even see it in the Phoenix series. Dallas has really just had one blow-out in the last month against Spurs in Game 2. It seems like Dallas is always getting pulled across the finish line by the refs. All their games are super close yet Dirk always gets a foul call because he's "being aggressive."

Wow. The Hate for the Mavs is astounding.

I Hate the Lakers. I can't hate the Mavs or even the Suns (the only other team to have beat us in the Last 8 Playoffs).

They just don't deserve that much attention yet.

It's probably the Mark Cuban factor, and it appears his tactics of making this a rivalry are working on most Spurs fans. However, I just consider him the lone tool in the org.

It's funny watching Spurs fans cheer for the Suns! Man, that team was hated back in the day.

I guess time does funny things to fans...

Now Charles Barkley and the Suns are somehow "heroes" for the Spurs...

So? Watch what he's doing. Emmulate him. If he is able to get to the line, then so should Tim, Manu and Tony.
Tim Duncan had 90 free throws, Dirk had 80 in the series. How the is dirk going to the line more than duncan?

To be honest, Cuban is probably the least of it. I've heard him on WOAI basically stating he is intentionally trying to stoke the fires of rivalry.

I just don't really feel Dallas was the better team against us. Because of Games 3 and 4 I felt the Spurs had to win 5 games last series. To be honest I was almost relieved in first half of Game 7 because I thought "Well Mavs are just a better team", like Game 6 vs. Lakers in 03. Leave no doubt when the series ended who was better.

But no, like all during series (i.e., admitted botched tech in Game 3?) refs assisted Dirk again at end of series though the same favor wasn't granted on other end when Tim fouled at very end of regulation because can't end game on foul (except when Bowen called for foul on Dirk with 8 secs left).

    , man, I'm defending Dirk!

As I said, if Tim could hit his free throws like Dirk, we wouldn't even be having this discussion.

We'd be talking about how Tim went off for 50 against the Suns...

Once again as argued before, when are they called. First half free throw doesn't = phantom foul with 8 seconds left 12 feet from basket not driving and or in act of shooting or bogus technicals, etc.

Just like Dampier fouling out doesn't equal Ginobili or Duncan fouling out or Bowen constantly having 5.

HAHAHAHA, Dirk's is greater than some two-bit Spurs fan, but whatever.

Anyway, I just finished reading the Suns forums regarding the game. So while the Spurs are whining about the calls in the game tonight, the Suns fans are berating D'Antoni for picking up ANOTHER technical and calling Raja "stupid" for picking up the first one. It's not just one post, there are several posts about these silly technicals picked up by DA/Raja. Funny how some fans don't use the refs as a bailout excuse for why they lost the game. Oh yeah, while some of you spurs fans are busy supporting the Suns, keep this in mind: a funny post on their board game thread: "Are we playing the Spurs?!?!?! We are making ZERO effort on the boards?"

Does someone not ing know how to read i go back and outline the reason for this threads longjevityand am completly ignored/

I don't expect you to agree but,

I had a friend of a friend (say John) who would always get into a fight with others on the court. He got into it with a couple of co-workers I brought, then a month later he fist fought with a friend of another player and on and on for a few months. My first friend would always blame the other guys and I told him "Are all these other people who have no relation to each other wrong or is John wrong?" There's a pattern there.

Anyone who isn't a Mavs fan saw what was happening. Barkley said it, Skip Bayless wrote a long article on the bad officiating in that series and basically guaranteed a Mavs win because he saw what was happening. Heck even fans of arch-rival Lakers and Houston in their chat rooms were quoted as saying we were getting jobbed. But I know you can't agree.

There are usually no set rules of good art. Most people just know it when they see it. Most saw the bad officiating in Mavs-Spurs series.

If they lose, then most would be more happy that

    A) Cuban loss
    B) Less Mavs fans would be around here.
