Vegas? damn! i was supposed to go to Port A this weekend, not quite as fancy! hahaha... I havent been to Vegas since I was like 7... we used to go all the time when we lived in L.A., we kids would just hang out playing the boardwalk games at circus circus. I hear that place has changed... I would love to go back and see how it changed...
Its not a totally bad thing I didn't go. I've played very little poker over the past couple of weeks and I need to hammer out some long sessions. I got very much in a zone tonight and me being home isn't look all that bad anymore.
I'm planning a trip there in January cause Jess is going to Hawaii.

My friend Sophia wants to go to Vegas... let me know if you find some kick-ass deals, I want to try and take her for her bachlorette party so if its affordable, I might just pull the trigger on that.

I've never been on one of those cruises. I want to go to the coast to go fishing pretty damn bad though. I want to take one of those 12 or 24 hour trips and go grab some fish before they are all gone. (no , I read a news story last week that in 50 years the ocean will be dead, scary scary - which reminds me I need to get sushi tomorrow.).
I saw packages (air+hotel) for around 300 when I was looking earlier this week for a 3 day 2 night stay. Not bad at all. And I get to deduct it from my taxes!
Oh, Jess is going to Hawaii with her grandmother. Its a graduation gift. They're going to take a cruise that visits a lot of the state. I really want to go out there, but I think we're taking a road trip through the west sometime this spring. Also, we're supposed to go to NYC for a weekend this spring. I've never been there, so I really can't wait for that. The NYC trip is actually the one I'm most excited about.
Man, I love the size of my monitor, but the back light isn't even enough and the viewing angles make a big difference depending on the brightness of certin parts. I wonder if this is normal or not.
Just a suggestion.. not for this West trip but maybe a future one.. take Amtrak. You get to go through the most scenic areas, meet all kinds of freaks constantly getting on and off and it tests your mettle for travel in every way. I went from Philly to SA with stops in Florida and New Orleans (roughly 6 weeks before Katrina) and I gotta say, it inspired me, a lot. From L.A. to Seattle is an AWESOME train ride, I would highly recommend it. Just a thought...
You can also take culinary train rides through Northern California featuring food and wine from Sonoma... just ing awesome!
Oh.. and TT cruises are kinda fun. We been doing it for three years on our shared birthday... 20 bucks for food, transportation back and forth and five dollars in coins. Not bad, I say. The drinks are small but hardly weak.. they only have American Roulette which is twice the rip-off of European.. but its still a fun way to pass the day.. plus you can get loaded on the bus back and forth too...
