I would go as far as suggesting that they are diametrically opposed terms....

"Better women" are usually the normal variety (not necessarily ugly) simply normal and are capable of running a household -- not an easy task.

The 'hot chicks' are usually empty headed... usually. They are typically very superficial and hence incapable of being a 'better women'....

Your original observation however is still very valid.... many of the 'hot chicks' are by their very nature - superficial remember - gold diggers. Personally, I avoid them... they are nothing but trouble.

My point is, while all this Dr Phil crap is fun to laugh at and wait for the one lonely loser to dish a little more than they should, this is an internet forum. Everyone came here with the express purpose of stating their opinions.

With that in mind, you already 2 things about everyone here

1. Theyre outspoken
2. Theyre opinionated

Thats all you can really say. With those 2 bits of info, one could generalize more things. That most member are introspective, therefore most have a damn good idea about who they are, what they want, etc.

Now, back to the real world.

Real world people are nothing like the individuals encountered here. Think about all the people you meet in life who havent once contemplated anything beyond their little corner of the world. You know what I mean, the person who has no opinion on anything, because they havent bothered themselves to think about it.

IMO, thats the majority of people you will meet. They wake up, goto work, come home, eat, television, bed time. Rinse repeat. With a few exceptions like holidays, birthdays and whatever family event.

Therefore, using this forum as some sort of.....sampling is ridiculous. Im sure the women here are just as smart and caring as they present themselves. Their husbands/boyfriends should love them accordingly. The guys here could be generalized just the same. Some are chauvinists, most are not. God help us, its probably true.

But extrapolating those same characteristics unto the masses (or vice versa) is pointless and comepletely inaccurate.

I'm not saying that have a PHD or Doctrate doesn't make men more attractive to women than say if you were a mechanic or something. However, I think the reason, at least for me and most intelligent woman, look at the PHd and Dr. and think well ok at least here's a guy that must have his together and can carry on a decent coversation and is probably a little mature. I'm not sure it's so much about the moola...

I haven't read all the 300 plus posts the vein of the last 20 or so seem to focus on what men look like for the most part. From whose perspective is this? Everyone I know has something different that "turns them on". So what is attractive to one woman might not be attractive to another and what is generally attractive to women might stun some men.

This actually happened at a lunch I was at the other day. We were discussing the whole Dr. McDreamy vs Dr. McSteamy thing from Grey's Anatomy. There were 4 women and my husband. 1 female chose McSteamy because he was so perfect, 2 women chose McDreamy because he was more rugged and less perfect looking. Then one woman admitted she actually liked another doctor on the show better. At the same time we all said.... The chief of staff! We all agreed there was something very sexy about him. My husband was stunned, he was sure we would all pick McSteamy. I asked another man later and he too thought women went for the perfect pretty man.

To me a slightly crooked smile gives someone character. I'm not one to go for the pretty boy.
