HaHa shows me how much you know about the Lakers. We don't even hang Division les.
Or Conference les either. Only Championships.![]()
I should not be doing this butSorry, Ron!

I have more important things to worry about (i.e. Billy Gillespie's future) rather than the #6 team in the West. Remind me where you were in the mid-90s before Jerry Buss bought another championship? When the Lakers were going about 39-43 every year... when Magic had to come back looking fat and out of shape, just to get people in the stands.
What's in the past is in the past - enjoy your les, but remember the bull you spewed on this board as I will reference it later.
I don't care if you hang them or not. I've never been to StaplesCenter and I don't plan on doing it anytime soon. , I haven't been in Phoenix in so long that I don't even know if the Suns hang them anymore.
I was watching all the Lakers games every year. I remember Nick, Eddie, Vlade, Cedric, Peeler, Elden, Sedale, etc. All of them. I'm not a bangwagoner like you. But of course since all you do is assume , I should have expected nothing less.
Gillespie would be an idiot to turn down the Kentucky job if it were offered to him.
What is a bangwagoner?![]()
Yeah, ok - I'm a bandwagoner. Sure, pal. Nice job googling a few of those players off the roster that got swept by the Spurs in '99.
Time to start the "Will Purple & Gold ever stop making stupid posts?" thread - strech, get on it.
Did you know Cedric Ceballos used to play for the Suns?? It was on that team that had Charles, Kevin, Tom, Tim, Frank, Richard, Dan, Danny, Negele, Jerrod, Oliver and they played that Bulls team in the Finals that had Michael, Scottie, Horace, Bill, BJ.... bag
Um, word is today that he's already agreed in principle to go to Arkansas... yes, you read that right, Arkansas.
Now I'm sure you all realize why I don't have time for Purple & Gold's "witch-hunt" to call me a bandwagoner?
Yes those were ugly years. It was a sad day when Magic got sick.![]()
Yes I remember that. The fact you called him Kevin and not KJ shows to me that you're a bandwagoner.Did you know Cedric Ceballos used to play for the Suns?? And you forget to mention the best musician to ever play in the NBA if not pro sports.![]()
Wayman Tisdale was not on that team... nice try.
I was following your lead of calling everyone by their first name. I would have called him Earvin instead of "Magic" just to be a sarcastic ass.
BJ = BJ Armstong by the way, so that wasn't a cutsey nickname I made for him.
But if you want me to call Elliott Perry "Socks," then I will just to make you happy.
So you only followed them for 1 year??
You know I didn't even realize I called them by their first name. And you need some help on your sarcasm.I was following your lead of calling everyone by their first name. I would have called him Earvin instead of "Magic" just to be a sarcastic ass.
I would have used ThunderDan myself, but whatever makes you happy.BJ = BJ Armstong by the way, so that wasn't a cutsey nickname I made for him.

You've got to be kidding me.
Wayman Tisdale wasn't on that team that went to the Finals! Remember what that was like... you know, the last time when you got run off the floor by 'Sheed?
I would point to Malone's injury and then Magic's and Byron's injury in '89. But that's another story and for Pistons fans not Suns fans.![]()
Yeah, well Byron Scott went to Arizona State, so I claim dibs on the "first-name basis"
The dude don't know the difference!
Different Era.
And Kobe shoots more 3 pointers. The difference between 46% and 50% isn't that big a deal when it comes down to it. It's the difference of maybe 1-2 missed 3pointers/half court prayer shots. And considering Kobe's supporting cast is MUCH inferior to what Jordan had and the fact we are now in the zone era, where points and FG% is down for everybody, it makes sense.
I just think this infatuation with 50% has really gone overboard in recent years.
Doesn't Steve Nash shoot 3's and still shoot at 50 percent?
and it's not really infatuation with 50 percent. It's about shot selection, picking when to score and when to keep the optimal play in mind.
Wade and Lebron have 50 percent shooting because they're less "selfish " so to speak.
Kobe's 46, 47 percent shooting isn't something to sneeze at, since he's a shooting guard. That's very good.
But when you're comparing players of the same calibre. Then it comes into play. It has nothing to do with infatuation but using the stats to extrapolate (for lack of a better word) how the player performs on the court, who's on par with that same scoring approach. Kobe has had some bad shooting games in his career where he didn't need to force up shots. And like you said, he shoots more threes, but there's a reason why his FG percentage isn't as good as Jordan's . And it's something you have to consider and look into.
posting here to get the Larry Hughes >>>> Kobe thread pushed down so that it's ignored completely. (see, i'm defending Kobe!)
At the end of his career, Kobe will be considered the best that ever played the game. Book it!
