Ginobili probably insisted to Pop that he wants Nowitzki
If Manu was on Dirk, who the was Elson matched up on?
Did they play mostly zone or something?

If Spurs win: They'll be 2-2 on the season series with Dallas, but most people will say the first game didn't matter because Dallas wasn't playing well then, and that this last game doesn't matter because Dallas has nothing to play for.
If Mavs win: All breaks loose as Mavs fans run wild with smack talk.
I predict the commentators will make excuses for Dallas during the halftime show.
He's french so it's both but it's nothing that can't be rivaled by any of the mavs players.
AJ will have to majorly take his foot off the throttle in the second half if he was serious about none of his stars playing more than 26 mins.
I thought the Mavs weren't gonna try?. Very good game so far, it reminds me of last year's playoffs. Elson did good on Dirk on the beginning and then Dirk took control. I think if Dirk is going to drive it to the hole, Elson will give him some trouble but if Dirk decides to shoot over him he should be fine. And what a surprise, the zone defense gave the Mavs trouble
.
Neither team is showing much -- the gameplans are pretty vanilla to this point -- but in terms of mindset, I thought it was a positive for the Spurs to weather that mid-second quarter storm (which they played a very large role in creating) and getting back to their basic principles to fight back.
They played zone and the Mavs looked very confused.
He is a little so it's possible.
You know Dallas' offense. They create a lot of switches. I have no idea who Duncan was on.
Thats what im talkin bout SPURS B-BALL![]()
So how did Elson do?
Was he bad defensively on Dirk? OR were the shots he made defended, he just made em.
I agree, this is foolishnees.
Manu can't guard Dirt and viceversa. I dont' know what's going on

should've saved it till the WCF.
You knew Dallas was going to try to win this game. Who knows they may succeed when Avverri plays Dirk the rest of the game.
Ruff n Reddy Oz said he was gonna take my slingbox but never showed up.
Any foreeigners want to watch the 2nd half? PM me, first come, first serve
Damn, I hate this idiot. Why you always trying to start ? Just go away. Phoenix blows.
I just noticed the Kings are killing the Clips! Hang on Sac!!!!
I disagree, Manu may not be tall enough but he knows how these s my europeans play so that may give him a leg up.
We'll see who's laughing at the end.
Dirk hit almost all of his jumpers over Elson, however, when Dirk drove on Elson, Elson did a decent job contesting the shots, Nowitzki missed like 3 layups in a row over Elson and Elson blocked one of them. Other than that, Dirk had his way with him.
According to Avery, Howard and Dirk will only play 8 minutes each in the 2nd half. Both have 18 minutes already.
Let's see if his "only 26 minutes" talk actually happens.
I don't care if this an exhibition game, playoffs, or regular season
anytime to be up on the Mavs is a good one
He played him well a few times and played him bad a few times. Pretty much all we can we can expect with him. _irk is one of the top two or three players in the NBA and Elson is a journeyman.
Yep...and Golden State is winning!![]()
