Funny how a few bad irrational apples in the Tony, Manu camps, create such a re ed at ude on the boards.
Its not funny at all. In fact it pisses me off

Most of them are quality posters but sometimes the Manu centric hysteria brings out the worst Spurs fan takes in the history of Spurs fans.

    Should I feel dissed?
Not unless you share the viewpoint that Parker got Manu out of rhythm in the second quarter or whatever that poster said.

    Okay,
I 'm pretty sure most people were happy for the win, though.

IMO I think Tony just likes to play his best and score , score, it's hard to complain when he's playing for your team and dishing out 9 dimes.
I agree with you and am happy with the win despite getting a little sloppy at the end and it's always good to see Tony with that many assists

I know, it's annoying from time, to time, but it's really hard to take seriously after a while..

Before the boards little disputes (involving Ducks and stuff), I never really thought of Tony and Manu as competing against each other. I wasn't even aware of the "parker-Manu compe ion" before.

You can wonder all you want, doesn't matter.
You're right because I already know the answer.

I guess I shouldn't feel identified by this either

I don't, but I am a Manu fan, and that is what you said.
"Manu fan" or short for a person who watches the Spurs to cheer on Manu and complain about how Parker doesn't pass him the ball enough.

Not a Manu fan as in a fan of Manu.

I see you are deeply touched by what I said but watch the second quarter again. The point I made is just that, an opinion (read it again), my opinion and you are en led to disagree but please don't blame me for loving how Manu plays or take it against other Manu lovers. There's all kind of people in here.

I was born in Buenos Aires and it would just make no sense if I didn't feel anything for his kind of game or watch closely what he does or doesn't more than any other player in the team.

Now, from that, to be a part of the "church of manu" or go nuts on things like this, there's a big distance.

Manu's step back makes me think of Larry Bird's effortless, deadly step-back.

    Alright, cool

I disagree with your viewpoint that Parker somehow hurt Manu in the second quarter since Parker and Manu barely played together in the beginning of the quarter (and in the 15 seconds they played together, Parker had an assist to Manu) and at the end of the quarter Parker was rolling by the time Manu came back in. Parker had the first six points of a 19-point stretch in which Parker scored 17 and had the assist on the other basket.

Blaming Parker for obliterating the Hawks in the second quarter would be like blaming Manu for scoring 24 straight points the last time the Spurs were in Atlanta.

But, as always, you are en led to your opinion.

    P.S.

I don't get deeply touched by anything in a Spurs vs. Hawks game in November.

Mario West had something to do with Manu being out of rhythm at the end of 3rd Qtr.

With the way Tony was playing before this game, I was just glad to see him abuse the Hawks with his aggressive, energetic play. 31 pts and 9 assists, can't have much to complain there.

and the vbookie's a push anyway.

Yeah, I still don't get what happened that game. Was it bad Creme Brulee again?

The last couple games, Parker seemed to be playing in a fog. After the way he played tonight after the days off, I think it's safe to attribute his poor play to fatigue.

However, that's kinda scary seeing as the Spurs play 5 games in 7 nights and 7 games in 11 nights.
