Ok, thanks FWD. I was wondering would he delay his return by waiting to commit.
each team is offering a veteran's minimum contract that includes the 2008-09 season, but the Spurs are believed to be sweetening the pot with a third year, on top of the emotional pull of teammates he has played with since 2004.http://www.azcentral.com/arizonarepu...barry0227.html

Barry's Dad Wants Brent To Sign With Suns
February 27, 2008
If Hall of Fame forward Rick Barry had to choose where his son would finish his career, he said it would be an easy decision.
"Playing the Mike D'Antoni style would be so conducive for him," Barry told Sports 620 KTAR.
Rick, who is in town to participate in the Kyle Petty's Victory Invitational Celebrity Golf Tournament, said his son, free-agent sharpshooter Brent Barry, is still undecided as to which team he will sign with, but has limited his choices to Phoenix and San Antonio.
"I would love to see him play for the Suns," Barry said. "It would be the first time that he would play on a team where he could showcase his talent."
All-Stars Shaquille O'Neal, Steve Nash and close friend Sean Marks have each called Brent in an attempt to lure the 36-year-old guard to Phoenix.
"They (Barry's family) really seem to love it there (San Antonio)," Brent's father said. "It's all going to come down to what his wife (Erin) wants to do."
Brent met with his family on Tuesday in San Antonio to discuss his future, followed by a meeting with Suns GM Steve Kerr, who flew to San Antonio on Tuesday in the middle of a scouting trip.
"From the stand point of just having fun playing the game, it certainly would be more fun playing here (in Phoenix)," Rick said.
Rick said Brent would compliment D'Antoni's offensive system by opening up the floor, which would take pressure off newly acquired center Shaquille O'Neal.
"He and Barbosa, coming off the bench, would be awesome," Berry said.
The Suns and the Spurs are not expected to give more than a prorated portion of the veterans' minimum ($1.2 million) to Barry, but Phoenix and San Antonio have reportedly offered the 3-point specialist two-year deals.
Rick said his son would be an enormous addition to the Suns' fast-paced tempo.
"He's also going to help them with their running game," Barry said "My son can pass the out of the basketball. I'm just hoping he hasn't forgotten how to do it because it's been so long since they gave him a chance to do it."
The Suns expected to hear from Barry late Tuesday regarding his decision, but Barry, who has played with the Spurs for three years and has family living in San Antonio, has waited on his decision.
"I would love to see this happen and hope that he has the chance to showcase the other talents that he has," Barry said. "If he's given that opportunity and made the decision to come here, people will see elements of his game that people really aren't aware of."
Barry, who hasn't played since Jan. 24 due to a calf injury, is averaging 7.3 points this season on 43 percent shooting from 3-point range.
"He can shoot the three, obviously, and he's also a terrific free throw shooter," Berry said.

That'll last for this year. After getting blown out of another playoffs Brent will have a new coach next year."Playing the Mike D'Antoni style would be so conducive for him," Barry told Sports 620 KTAR.
I've been relegated to watching the Cavs and Celtics on NBA Tv, thanks to this.
Thanks Brent.
Sure is fun hanging around with you guys.
It's kind of like some warped game blog.
Cripes. I have to get off the computer. You can all be sure that the announcement is coming soon, because I've been sure for days that I won't be anywhere near a computer when we find out what Brent's going to do.
For now, I say "You're the MAN, Brent Barry!" unless it's more appropriate to say "Screw Brent Barry, that ingrate!"
Fixed"He's also going to help them with their running game," whottt said "My bf can pass the out of the basketball. I'm just hoping he hasn't forgotten how to do it because it's been so long since they gave him a chance to do it."
Theoretically we could all go to the chat room and chat better there lol.
T Park...Have they said anything about what happened to LeBron?
He left the game with a leg injury?
Great minds think alike.
