The plus minus numbers from last night would disagree. All - for the starters, all + for the bench.
Mavs fans shouldn't take whottt so seriously. He's a funny guy.
Poor mono...
That was harsh for a fan to go through.
There are much harsher things than watching a multiple championship team lose out on a perfect season in the last game.
Trust me.
easy to say when you've never gone through it.
I've suffered with a team that was the epitome of suckage. They were called the Mavericks in the 90's. Watching the Super Bowl was 10000000000000000x worse than watching the Mavs suck for a decade.
I'm sure there are.
Fans are known to get emotional with their teams.
I said it was harsh, not the harshest.
Nobody's gone through it until this year.
I guess UNLV came closest.
I picked the wrong year to buy league pass. I think we should pull a '97 and try to land Beasley at this point...
Fair enough.
But you've also never gone through the suckage that is one playoff win in 50 years.
One.
At least it came at the expense of the Cowboys.
Couldn't agree more LJ. As long as we are in the playoffs, we are the team to beat.!
Sad thing is, Beasley's not their guy. He's not a Spurs player, at ude and effort-wise. If they dropped out of the POs (3 losses away) and by miracle got a top pick, they should trade down for multiple ones to fill more slots.
I like Mavs fans/trolls making fun of Spurs and acting like arrogant assholes.
I guess last year lesson wasn't enough.
If you make the playoffs. Spurs are tanking right now and only 3 games ahead of the Nuggest who are streaking since they got back Anthony Carter.
As I replied to you in the other thread, we're done with this brutal stretch now, and our 11 game streak provided just the cushion we needed to make sure we make it in.
I stopped reading on page 3, but I'll echo what others have surely said. The Spurs are in a tough spot this season. But there is a bright and shiny silver lining. First, the Spurs could still win this year, despite recent play. Beyond this, the Spurs are in a good position to make necessary off season adjustments to their roster. This will include a slightly higher draft than in year's past. Next year, we'll have Splitter in the front court, and, with an outside chance, Mahinmi. The full MLE can be used all in one or split between a couple of players. We might be able to get something for our Beno trade exception. We have the inside track on resigning Thomas. And Bonner could fetch something of use on the trade market.
All this to say, I'd rather be in a position to compete every season for the foreseeable future (which we are) than be a one or two season phenom. It's more difficult to compete over a decade than season.
I'll conclude by saying that Brent Barry is by no means a high impact player. That is, under most cir stances. Under current cir stances, however, he might be what we need to improve our offense and supplant some of Finley's minutes. Finley is nearly done, but perhaps with a little rest over the next few weeks he can scrape just enough off the bottom of the barrel to give positive post season production. Not having Barry this last month has reminded me that Barry is invaluable in his ability to move the ball within the offense. A little more offensive efficiency these past 7 games might have seen us go 3-4 or 4-3. I'm happy that we'll have Barry next season at a discounted price.
Like what?
The Spurs are D-O-N-E. This is a cold, hard fact after reviewing their play at this late stage in the season. I had hoped that the Blazers would end their Dynasty*, but it appears they are disintegrating a little earlier than I thought they would.
Would you shut the up and mine your own damn business? The Nuggets have a tough schedule too so I'm not too sure about them.If you make the playoffs. Spurs are tanking right now and only 3 games ahead of the Nuggest who are streaking since they got back Anthony Carter.
Thats 9 tough games left for the Nuggets, not so sure they can do it.

You've got to be kidding me. How exactly has DubMcDub owned anyone? All he has done is come into this thread dismissing timivp's original post as just a Spurs fan trying to convince himself that everything's okay. Tell me what purpose he had in coming into this thread other than to slam at the few Spurs fans still believing in their team? I saw no intent on his part to bring his objectivity in the argument. If there was, he would have followed his response with logical reasons he believed timvp was wrong. I saw none of that. He made no attempt at pointing out which parts of timvp's post he disagreed with. I don't blame timvp if he thought this response:
to his post was another arrogant Mav fan bringing in no real substance to the thread. After all, this mav fan never really made an attempt at making an argument to back up why he thought timvp was wrong.
All he did was go off on how arrogant Spurs fans were, completely ignoring the original post nor bringing in any real thoughts about it.
Honestly, I don't get where this Mav fan gets off calling out timvp's post as having no reason.
He acknowledges that the Spurs are struggling, and that it was a tough loss late in the season, but then mentions that you can't dismiss the Spurs because they haven't gotten to the point where they start fading. Then he goes on to support his assertion with reasons why he thinks they will be alright. I saw none of that in the Mav fan's response. All I saw was him crying for something unrelated to the topic.
But not nearly as fast as Oden's body.
I will not on your opinion because you are en led to it. I'll just say, I put more stock into what I see live. Losses against the better teams in the NBA, classic poor play and failed execution down the stretches of key ball games does not instill confidence in a championship-level team or its fan base.
I can't wait to see Barry back too, but I do not consider him anybody's missing link. He will help create some badly needed offense and hopefully take away minutes from Finley.
