he was hit, but i wouldn't be surprised if they indeed decide to make him miss some games till the end of the season in order to keep our draft chances high.

im guilty of relying on bball reference for positional play time... but just to show how flawed they can be, they have wemby playing C 100% of the time this season, which includes minutes alongside zollins/bassey
they also have duncan playing C 100% of the time for his entire career beginning 08-09, which includes playing alongside splitter (except 1% during his last season, which i dno, may have been alongside boban or some)
No rookie ever averaged 20 & 10 in under 30 minutes.
In fact, only 2 other players ever did it in NBA history:
- Clyde Lovelette in 1959-60
- Joel Embiid in 2019-20

It’s not ing babysitting. He needs to self report injuries, not make them find it in the film session. If he sprains it, maybe they take him out, ice it, and he plays the next game, or maybe misses one game. There’s a risk of catastrophic injury if you continue to play on it. It’s extra loose after a sprain, and it would be really easy to roll it, and tear ankle ligaments.
yeah. the unicorn is still growing. we are doing the opposite of what Houston did with Ming which was awful.
RotY is locked up and he will be back shortly. As the last game demonstrated, developing the rest of the roster is important too.
Vic is FAR from a finished product...last game showed he needs a ton to work on...he needs to play in order to develop
Just hope that Wemby can at least play 65 games and get the ROY award

Been looking at the stats, we obviously don't need anything more than the eye test to see his improvement on game to game basis, but it's still ridiculous.
First 19 games with Collins in the starting lineup:
18.9/9.7/2.5 on 43/26/81 with 1.3 steals and 2.6 blocks, 3.4 turnovers.
The next 30 games, Collins benched:
21.6/10.3/3.7 on 49/35/81 with 1 steal and 3.5 blocks, 3.5 turnovers.
Post all-star break, 7 games:
22/11.7/5 on 48/43/83 with 2.5 steals and 5.3 blocks, 3.3 turnovers.
And there's that stat of Wemby keeping 60% of his blocks in play.
Looks like vw gonna have to wait for his revenge …as shengoon went down with a freaky looking ankle/knee injury against the kings….
