I did start thinking that putting the Taaffe down closer to the line might work for the defensive backfield, but how does that affect the communication and having a “right place right time” safety? The idea of moving Taaffe from safety is sorta scary. I guess Boyd thinks it smells like we don’t have a good nickel.
These are tiny things to worry about pre season, but it’s interesting.
