Oh and people at work and my friends tell me that sometimes too..."Man you have bags under your eyes." And I usually just nod and say, "Yea, I couldn't sleep last night" or some equivalent.

When I first started wearing contact lenses, it was back when they were still using thimerosol in the solutions, and sometimes my eyes would get really irritated. One of the girls in my bio lab class, who had a naturally loud voice, asked me why I sometimes didn't wear the contacts and I told her that if I didn't get much sleep, my eyes didn't tolerate them very well. I agree. Had I asked, "hey how does my new make-up look?" and her response was "Oh, it makes you look like you havve bags under your eyes." it would be justified. But I was never tired/sleepy etc. The hardest thing I have to do si be at work by 11 every day until school starts. I see your point 1p1, though.
Anyone who tells me I have bags under my eyes, without me asking, is getting kicked in the knee cap.
