Everything was good except for that 3rd qtr collapse. I still think Yao is playing too many minutes to stay healthy for the season. Yao should be staying about 34-36 min a game.

one of those 3 + lakers will be West champ. suns are ok but Shaq can't keep this up for an entire season.
Artest and the Rockets looked good. Their depth is going to give teams fits. TMac was nothing more than a cheerleader down the stretch and they owned the Mavs anyway. If the Rockets are healthy going into the playoffs and they stay healthy throughout they will be your '08-'09 NBA Champions.
Rockets needed a Jordanesque game from Brooks and a Larry Bird lilke shooting performance from Artest in order to beat the mavs. Having said that I hope a ceiling fan falls on Ron Artest while he sleeps.

Give me a healthy Spurs team over the Rockets any day of the week. And there is no way this team beats the Lakers in a seven game series.

even though i did cuss tmac out during this game, he is injured and he alone can win us 55 games so i understand why coach was giving him rest.
It was also smart on adelman b.c that artest,brooks,yao,barry,chuck unit was manhandling the mavs every time they were in. Tmac + battier usually mesh well so we will see more of that when they come back
Well, the same was needed from the Mavs. Dirk and Howard had to go off in order for the Mavs to win, because you had no bench.
in a head to head matchup the rockets were already better than the lakers.
Overall the Lakers are the better team though.

Mavs sure forgot quickly how to play D. But the Rockets also looked pretty bad defensively.
It's a long season though, and Battier should help with that a bit.
Rockets are on a back-to-back, but they played the lowly Grizz and obviously saved their energy for tonight's game....

I think the Rockets are playoff fodder if they keep allowing 100+ ppg.
Nobody expected them to lose to the blazers or clippers.

Yea thats the ting about artest, i noticed it too. He is an A grade defender but he also gambles.
If you watched all the game i did you would understand, there is something about Battier, he carries this team defensively, as a 6th man he would do wonders.
