Could have been worse. Tighten the defense, keep it close.

Mason is so remarkably useless out there it has to be some kind of a phenomenon

Down 6 despite the Mavs best punch. Spurs HAVE to take it to the rack more as well as clog the lane. Don't need another 34-14 FT advantage in this game.

Nice to see Bonner hittin' some 3's.

Not a bad first, wouldve liked the stop at the end but this game will be won by keeping it close through three then dominating in the 4th.

Lol at Pop playing this lineup in the plyoffs.
My estimation is that Pop is resting the big guns for later in the game so as not to weigh on them trying to put the game away early and cause them to get gassed down the stretch. Like in Game 2, we're surviving thanks to Tony, and Matt has shown up as well.

I thought they would have a double digit lead considering our turnovers.

With Dirk and Butler shooting the ball well, I thought we did well to stay within 6, especially given the personnel we put out there.

Parker is losing the ball in the lane far too often in this series

It also depends on the (lack of) respect from the refs...

-Mason missed a rotation and got beat in the only 2 defensive assignments he was a part of..he's just too much of a liability at this point..if Pop is going to play a scrub veteran, I'd rather have Bogans out there..Mason just sucks way too much..

-The Mavs have made a great adjustment on McDyess and it could severely limit him..McDyess has NO ability to do anything offensively other than his automatic mid-range J..the Mavs are now running him off the J, forcing him to drive and pass, something he was horrible at doing this year..great adjustment..I wonder what Pop does to counter since the Mavs seem to be focused on this, at least according to the strategy for this quarter..

-Mavs came out with energy, as expected..Spurs need to counter and stay within 6 by halftime..
