I downloaded 12 gigs one month while tethered. Sprint hasn't done anything to stop me.
i wonder what qualifies as overusing it. i don't even use my home internet that much, so ive considered cancelling my internet and just tethering. i bet i use less than 3 gigs a month, combined both my phone and internet.

wtf..when is nexus coming out already? im ready to upgrade!
if ATT detects that you are using an Android phone, will they bump you to the smartphone data plan automatically? or do you have to use excessive data first or what?
I was thinking about trying an android phone for a while, but not gonna do it if they're going to switch my data plan up on me
I had an unlimited smartphone data plan before getting my Skyrocket, and they said they wont take the plan away from me since ive been with them for like 10 years.
I originally had data unlimited for any kind of phone, but at some point they switched it to data unlimited for non-smartphone![]()
I don't know if this has been posted as I haven't been keeping up with this thread but check out the rumored specs for the HTC Zeta

That is the sexiest piece of mobile technology I've ever seen. Wow.
yo...any techies can help me out? I bought a wifi externder for my house and it works good, but sometimes i connect but data doesnt transfer on my android...sometimes my signal bars turns white. Any ideas of whats going on?
Specs give me a boner. Phone design does not.
the front looks great but the back end is ugly as .
you don't have the problem within the range of the wireless router but only on the extender?
yah the RG is fine when i switch to it, it only happens with the extender.
Galaxy Nexus review is in:

I want to see what that Sony Xperia P looks like up close. i imagine it would be neat rooted.
I wish they would have made the Playstation Vita into a phone. I would so get that o: But I suppose most people who buy a mobile phone don't get one for gaming.
Hopefully HTC unifying their brand will be a good thing.

never used a google phone before and I'm having some problems with one
google sync isn't syncing the picasa web albums anymore, tries for a sec than fails, doesn't say why. and if I do get that working again, how do i tell it to use the SD card?
also, attachments in gmail always open with "office suite" (which I can't uninstall) and I can't find an option or setting anywhere to get them to open in google drive(Docs) for cloud printing among other things
I don't want to install a secondary pic syncing app, or printing app, that defeats the purpose of a google phone integrating with google services IMO, and since the phone isn't mine, I'd probably better not try rooting it unless it's pretty safe and easy
phone is Sony Xperia SK-17a, OS version 2.3.4
any advice would be much appreciated
for the docs try to go to settings>applications>manage applications>office suite> scroll down and hit clear defaults. For Picasa, take the same path, click on the picasa app and hit clear data then try again
I tried "clear data" for the gallery to no avail, but there's no picasa app, it's just part of google account sync gmail/calander/contacts/picasa/etc.
and I don't remember seeing any "defaults" setting for the office app, but I'll look harder next time
yeah, sorry, I have never sync'd picasa I will have to try it and see. as far as the "clear defaults when you go through that path, and click on the office app you should see four buttons "move to sd" "clear data" "clear cache" and something else, then scroll down a little and "clear defaults should be there.
If nothing else, uninstall gdocs, then reinstall and the next time you try to open a do ent, it should ask what you want to open with and give the chance to set as default.

FYI Google Music only allows 4 re-auths per year, so be careful if you root/flash frequently:

Thank you, good to know. Oh and crap.
this is a crazy pic showing the amount of Android devices out there by popularity - 3.997 unique devices:
