Agree. James Anderson, even when you consider he is a rookie coming from a big injury, is better than what is available at SF.
I'm just not comfortable at all with Spurs lack of depth at SF. It's could be problematic in certain matchups.
One thing I saw from JA last night the shows me he is getting more confident driving to the basket: he did his version of the Euro step through drive (which he did numerous times prior to the injury)

very true, and we still have no defender that can get the bigger SFs from the other teams and give them fits.
That is why I was pissed after the Brewer signing , not just because we didn't get him, but because there were some decent options out there at the SF (Brewer, Butler, McGuire), more than usual, and they missed out.
None. We're doomed.
I just knew it.

Another thing that sucks about the Brewer signing, the Mavs will have 15 players (granted Brewer wouldn't have been the 15th man) but the Spurs with essentially 12 players (not including Novak) below the league minimum couldn't sign him.
He's certainly well rested.
$$$$ >>>> roster space.
so splitter eating up a major portion of the MLE kept us from signing brewer?
Why couldn't the Mavs had signed him for the rest of the season prior to all of this
Wouldn't blame the signing of Splitter, just kind of pissed the Mavs had the entire MLE left this late into the season.
Dallas will spend about 40M more on payroll, including taxes, than the Spurs this season. So will the Lakers. That's just the way it is.
, damn..I guess if you got the money you might as well spend it.
How about Al Thornton? Or he is already declining because of injury? I don't have any background about him esp. on defense but he played well (based from this http://www.nba.com/playerfile/al_tho...eer_stats.html) during his sop re season.
Pretty sure I heard he's already going to the Warriors.
What happened to Butler?
signed with the bulls yesterday
So basically no SF worth a wanted to come play for the Spurs????????
Why is that?

Yeah, prearranged deal.
I dont get why the Spurs didnt went after Sasha after Brewer committed to the Mavs, the same Boston did...
because apparently the Spurs like their back up SF to be 6'5 or shorter....
