I like JA's at ude- "As long as I play defense and keep running the floor well the offense will come."
tiago is like chandler without the dunking
This guy has cajones.
He'll force his way into the rotation.
Really? Golly gosh, I never noticed.
Actually, RJ is 31 and TP 29, so they're not truly old. It's more accurate to say that they are in the late-middle phase of their careers. Only Manu (34) and Tim (35) are truly old, and Manu doesn't yet play like it (Tim sadly does).
Splitter, Grizzly, Kawhi, JA, Neal all young. As are the 3rd stringers. Let's just ignore Rocket.![]()
Good win, happy New Years everyone. Time to Party...Count Down City Stand Up! Go Spurs Go!
Didn't we have Danny Green for a while last year?
Aw . The one place I forgot to check. Hope there's a replay overnight.
One of the boxes said he had 4.
Just got done watching. Good win to ring in the new year. On to Minny.
Yeah i think they gave him another on one of Kanter's misses which he bothered.. i couldnt see him get a piece of it though. Tiago might not average more than a block a game for the season.. but more importantly he causes at least 3 or 4 missed lay ups/inside shots a game which is every bit as good as a blocked shot. Those are high percentage shots which hes forcing misses on.. makes a huge scoreboard difference.
Exactly. Altering high percentage shots is probably just as valuable as a block. I think his defense would be even more valuable paired with Duncan as it would allow the perimeter guys to be more aggressive on defense. They would know if they get beat their forcing the offensive player into two seven footers.
The bottom line is - we need a 3rd or 4th big to be able to do that. Play Duncan and Splitter together and you get the Blair and Bonner combo.
We need a 3rd or 4th big to be able to do that. Maybe Pop's thinking is, that this is the only way to avoid the turd tower in Matt Bonner.
Those young legs certainly didn't help against HOU on that first back-to-back...
We can skirt it all year, but it's about Tim. If he's done so are the Spurs.
Jazz's Josh Howard fined $25,000 for upgraded flagrant foul Saturday on San Antonio's James Anderson.
