The defense on Dirk has been outstanding.. with the exception of early 1st with Blair, but he picked it up..
I think we're guarding Dirk as well as we can. We're just throwing different bodies on him, wave after wave of fresh guys. I think it's frustrating him. I can't think of anyone between Blair, Bonner, Diaw, Jackson who didn't play him well.

Manu looks horrible but fortunately we have so much talent we don't need him to play well.

What I love is that this game hasn't been pretty, but we still got a decent lead through pure hustle plays. That's the best thing to see.

George Hill was an undersized,overrated softie,but damn he could guard the Jet.He was Jason Terry eraser.Terry killing us this year like old times.
We have the players too match-up against the Mavs. Throughout a single game we could put Tiago, Bonner, Diaw, Kawhi, Sjax, and Blair on Dirk. That's a lot of different looks for a player to deal with.
Although, I feel as if we're too stacked tbh
Diaw's defense was fantastic on Dirk. Stayed with every move and even got a piece of the ball. Looks in good shape and moving well. Lovin it
Diaw an Jackson is what that is. If POP didn't wet his pants when he seen Diaw on Dirk, I don't know what he did.

When our FO brought Jack I thought that Green would be de odd man out of the rotation (along with Anderson, of course), but he's absolutaly earning his playing time. I hope he keeps it up.
Ah, and vintage Duncan...
2 things already by Diaw: he has the foot speed to recover from a screen to get back to his defender and he has the agility to control his body on a pump fake and still contest a shot. Plus already on one play he beat both teams down the court.
The role players are doing some nice things but we're going to need Duncan and/or Ginobli to get rolling in the second half.
Keep up the stellar work on the boards because you know that's something the Mavs will address at half time. Expect Dirk to come out with some fire as well.
