SMH... typical Popsucker reaction. "I'll forgive Pop for anything he does. Actually, Pop can do no wrong."
worst troll ever. I'd been calling for Pop's head since 2009, even haters have to wave the white flag eventually instead of crying like a in every thread. 5th step is acceptance.

Not really. I've never called for his head. As SBM would say, "only losers accept failure."

No, you didnt answer my question. You want to fire pop ever so desperately. It stands to reason you could make a preferable alternative, but apparently you can't. Ill actualy help you. Process of elimination. We fire pop. Would you like Vinny del negro?
You have reading comprehension issues. I don't want Pop fired....just have him go to his gm/front office position - since his fire is gone and has been gone for years.

Once that happens - then it will be time - to speculate about new coaches. Until that happens - we are just pissing in the wind - and you can do that without me.

Moving Pop to the front office against his will is firing him a coach.

    You have intelligence issues.

    Actually, no.

    This is idiotic.

Pop - although he is past his prime as a coach - is/was an excellent front office person. He still has tons of great qualities/knowledge for the franchise - but his weakest talent is his coaching.

Idiots always make idiotic comments - so don't feel bad about your idiocy. It is just who you are.

Again, work on your reading comprehension.

    First, remove Pop as coach.

    Then...

    we'll discuss afterwards.

you don't remove somebody from a position unless you have a plan/alternative. otherwise you'll end up stuck with a vinny

Pop would have a successor in mind if he ever stepped back....hopefully - the successor would be young and hungry with something to prove and the fire that only an unproven coach has.

I can't see Pop choosing an established coach like a PJ...so spurs fans would have to hope Pop chooses well.

you're probably being facetious but I think there is some sad truth in it. Pop was either playing not to lose, therefore resting Duncan, or wanting to prove his system was bigger than Duncan. either way, one of the most befuddling and ty coaching decisions of all time imo. though not out of the ordinary for Pop.
I was... unforgivable decision that cost Tim his 5th.

Been over it, tbh. Doesn't make me think I'm better than the rest of you, but meh it happened. Time to move on. I've got tier things going on in my life right now to worry about a bunch of athletes choking away a championship.

So you are for replacing Pop as head coach with Lionel Hollins. Think we make it as far?

Hollins improved his team every single year, it's pretty remarkable...

I just wish we let someone else get a crack at this roster... Pop is mentally destroyed, if you did a MRI scan of his brain you'd see a mini Eric Spoelstra living in there, beat him with a team of scrubs in his house in the regular season, basically beating him at his own game and taking a huge dump on him and then pulled off the biggest mind in nba history when he took advantage of Pop choking in the Finals.

Even Phil Jackson never humiliated Pop like that, it's over, old fart is punch drunk, senile, whatever you want to call it. Look at Riley helping his team from the stands and watching tape with Speolstra, guy is helping his team the best way he can, complete opposite of Pop...

People want to be romantic about the Spurs and want the 4 main guys to retire/leave together but it's stupid as , it means some of them won't leave at the right/rational time, it's anti Spurs, Robinson left at the right time for instance, he left on top and didn't drag his team down like Manu and Pop are gonna do the next two years.

You can say that everything went wrong but if you look at it objectively everything went extremely right, from Westbrook getting injured to the Pacers taking the Heat to a game 7... Nothing could have gone better, so when the conditions were that favorable and you still can't do it then any rational person will tell you that you can't do it bar none as constructed...

    I want to see this first;

    Spurs coaching position vacant.

    Then the question will matter.

ur a joke dude. Don't give me the "I don't have time to deal with hypotheticals" crap if you have the time to respond to 8 of my posts in this thread. I'm asking you to name a potential candidate you'd like. The question doesn't have to be relevant and doesn't have to "matter" at the moment, but you can't go around firing head coaches unless there's some sort of contingency plan or list of replacement candidates. So far your list has 0 names so you'd be a fool to want to can the coach

I think Bud would have been a good option before he left.
