One of the bad apples I talked about before. Not every NBA player is hitting women —very few in fact. Also Oden's not even on an NBA roster at this point in his career.

I think it'll be a white guy b/c the Spurs, being a small market team with small market ownership, will need to keep the international flow of "stars" going. They were very fortunate to win two lotteries and be in a position to draft HOF and top 50 all time players like David and Timmy, or this franchise would have relocated long ago. Maybe billionaire Red will buy the team someday to keep it here (and come full circle) and spend the $$ to bring in superstars to team with Kawhi.
Word on the street was that the Spurs made sure Ime knew that Messina wasn't hired above him in the hierarchy.
Ime is going to have to accept that Messina with all his experience, is likely going to have (and should have) a strong voice in the coaching meetings. And, of course, the media will be focusing on Becky as the most "newsworthy" assistant. Between the two new hires, if Ime is easily threatened that might be a minor problem. But I trust in Pop to sort it out.
Ime would be really dumb if he thought his "seniority" as Spurs neophyte assistant coach would give him any priority over or significance ahead of a hugely successful, long-time head coach like Messina.
Ime is learning the job. He can go anywhere afterwards. I don't think anybody told him that he should be the Spurs coach.

That's great for the Spurs PR, because being located in Texas, a place worldwide known as a place full of bigots doesn't help too much getting fans worldwide. Getting a liberal image is good for a lot of reasons.

The family and I attended her jersey retirement last week at the Stars game - and I found it odd that there were no Spurs' players or members of the coaching staff in attendance to celebrate it with her.
