this game thread is hilarious though. The regular season game threads have been so boring this year with all the winning.

I can see coasting against a scrub team. Happens all the time. But it doesn't look like something good just happening half speed. It looks really bad and choppy and the same as many other games over the past few weeks.
They didn't even play that well (IMO) during the five-game homestand. Those wins were definitely good wins, but the quality of play wasn't anything jaw dropping.
Fat head won't get to 1000 points in his career
If they were disinterested Pop wouldn't of gone hard after GS or played the homestand as hard as he did; they had the second seed all but locked up back then too. Since that second Dubs game this team hasn't looked right.
The new age mentality...
Most of us here remember 2010-2011. Spurs surged to a seemingly inevitable all-time franchise best record, and then they fell apart. Injuries didn't help, but the Spurs became dysfunctional long before they lost Manu in the finale. Running into Memphis in that opening round was just the final blow.
That I can forgive. I would not be surprised to see Pop telling them to just take it easy and avoid injury. The defense is proven.
The offense though I'm sure Pop wanted to build on. Wanted to give his guys confidence. it's why you play them against a bad team. But that hasn't happened yet.
Replace Manu/Diaw with KA/Simmons/KScrub and I'm not surprised this game looks awful so far. Calm down, guys. We beat a healthy OKC team on our floor not too long ago.![]()
Manu broke his arm - that changed everything from not only a mental perspective but on court as well.
Kyle Anderson looks like absolute tbh
Can't see it.....haven't played particularly well for weeks. Would be bad form entering playoffs. They're actually playing some D now, cutting into lead.
The defense was extremely impressive, and while the offense wasn't explosive it was extremely efficient. Now they have neither.
Very true, although they've seemed to pick up the defensive intensity..and OKC looks already half as good as they've looked so far.
He hyperextended his elbow in the last game of the season. The Spurs were sputtering long before that.
That was over a month ago, and since then they've faded on both ends.
I'm not a cliff jumper and never have been, but to play devil's advocate, the team shouldn't sink so easily when you remove two role players. Kawhi and Aldridge alone should be able to lead the team to victory, especially against weak compe ion.
seriously, wtf why are we running so much isos![]()
Manu admitted they were disinterested in the shoot around video this morning. It's human nature. That third Dubs game sealed any chance of the 1 seed. Since then they've been bored.
