Yes, I'm trolling a Spurs fan board because I don't watch basketball.

He was more effective in his time on the court than Simmons was. The ONLY thing that Simmons has over Kyle is Games 5 and 6 against Houston when he was a better match-up against Harden. Kyle's a better rebounder, help defender and passer than Simmons is. To say otherwise is to be misinformed.

No one would be happier if it pans out than me. But the excitement here over a player who has relied on his athleticism to score and who's coming off of a career-ending injury is totally misplaced. People need to adjust their expectations here.

FWIW, Rudy Gay was ranked 14th among SF's last season in real plus-minus at +1.75, just above Kyle Anderson.

He only plays when it's a situational advantage for him. Or else he gets subbed out.

Yes. With that wingspan, and if he regains just some of his lift he should still be able to shoot over most players pretty easily.

But he hasn't solely relied on athleticism. In fact his game actually is more of that of a player that is not athletic. That was the point of my post.

You aren't wrong about his style and all, but this is always the argument people make regarding these injuries, tbh..everybody tries to convince themselves that it will be different this time around, but it's tough to ignore past results..
