Aldroodles.
Most definitely
Tony comes back and LaTouches has a 40pt game. Coincidence? Idk
Help a no english native speaker up. What does Aldroodles make reference to?
The reference is to HEB's Spurs commercial:
A local TV commercial for a grocery store chain that uses Spurs players for most of its in-season promos.
32 pt game and now a 42 pt game averaging like 35 pts since Tony came back. They have great chemistry.
You say because LA was doing so bad before Tony got back?![]()
Nah, key the x files music lol. Either Parker or the fact we played Dallas and Memphis... But all in all, Tony's ability to penetrate gives him the mid range j at the top anytime he wants and if he's in rhythm, it's easy money. I think having Tony diversifies his looks, cause Tony is well experienced in collapsing the defense. DJ could do it to some degree with little confidence, and Patty looks his shots more and when he does collapse the d he doesn't afford LMA the type of space that Parker can cause his finishing ability.
Aldridge has been huge this season and Parker only played 32 total minutes so far. Last year Parker and Aldridge shared the entire season and LA sucked ass.
LA sucking or doing well will depend solely on himself, tbh.
I agree with the latter statement. Just to comment on the first, half of Parker's 9 assists are probably from Aldridge I'd assume. At least that's my personal eye test. But as far as last year is concerned, comfort level and touches played a big role in that.
Agreed. Ask any NBA vet or Brent Barry, you have to respect Tony's penetration.
LMA plays better with Tony on the floor. That's all I'm saying here.
LA plays better when he is engaged, it doesn't who he plays with. That's all I'm saying.
I said the same thing last season. Then somebody posted some stats that showed that LMA's numbers do, indeed, improve when He shares floor time with Tony.
Read the Express News today. They said the same thing about LMA playing better with Tony. With some quotes as well. Also like I said about half of Tony's assists have been to LMA, something the article pointed out too.
Yeah, I know a lot of people say that. It's one of those common phrases that people create and just roll with it without thinking. Something like "Kobe is clutch" or "Manu is the ultimate compe or" and like that which hold no empirical sustenance. So Manu competed harder than Tim Duncan? Manu wanted to win more than Duncan? How can you prove that?
The same happens here. So Tony about half of Tony's assists have been to LA? Well, guess what? Mills' too. On the last game everybody talks about how much Tony set Aldridge up, but Mills and Manu assisted LA in just as much baskets as Tony.
Of course having a guy that plays the pick and roll as well as Tony does can help LA, but folks here are overating as that fact, tbh. Like I said earlier, the only thing that will determine how good LA will be is himself.
