    Makes no ing sense.

    “Murray is not a PG”…

    “Murray can’t shoot”…

Murray so far is showing he’s improved on both of these things and is playing out of his mind. But yet these numbskulls have moved on to the next narrative… “he can’t hit clutch shots”.
Dex's literaly critique was that he doesn't win games like Kobe. Like holy ing if Murray has to be Kobe to not get blamed for then pack it up and lets just blame him for everything.

Oh well, that game was still infinitely better than the trash we watched last season.
    yup by a longshot.

the past few years were dreadful. we couldn't even make the playoffs with the "superstars" we had and we weren't horrible enough for draft picks and our youngins were rotting away on the bench.

i much prefer for this to the last few years.

sucks losing but oh well. gotta keep getting better.

Just.... Pop and his ty amateur staff.
You know the coaching situation is bad when all the good assistants are quick to flee this team for lateral positions on other NBA coaching staffs.

KJ and Dwhite has been really disappointing this game. I rather have Vassell to take the spot in the starting lineup instead of Dwhite tbh.

The thing is that a 35 win Spurs team, which is what is pretty much projected across the board, should be 1-4 right now. When this schedule gets weaker after next week, the Spurs are going to start winning games. Every team they've lost to is a contender.

All four losses were more entertaining than watching DeRozan iso-ball and non-stop midrange the last two years
Exactly this. It's fun. The games are close. We all knew they were going to lose games. Hopefully, the team can keep up the energy.

Forbs played an A- game and still didn't matter. Actually serves reason to demote him and play the young guys who have potential

Lmao people love to hate on DJ this team is getting absolutely blown out every game without him. He’s the only one with a nut sack on this team. Funny enough he’s the only out of character Spur they’re accustomed to drafting on this team. Spurs always love drafting the player with a great up bringing and like that lol.

I wouldn't call the Mavs a contender, but I agree with your overall point. The Spurs are playing like a 35-win team. They will get a few good teams' scalps this year.

The great defense makes me proud

The crappy offense is getting old fast. I’m fine playing well every game but I hope the team morale can stay high. I can see guys getting frustrated. Pop’s real job will be keeping everyone’s heads up as the Ls pile on

The starting forwards for the Spurs tonight were 6'4" and 6'6"and grabbed a total of 7 rebounds... it's great to talk about positionless basketball if you have Giannis, KD, Lebron, PG, or the like, but this seems like a huge problem to me. Our pair of starting forwards are already a poor rebounding tandem with McDermott at 6'7"... With Poeltl & Murray being good rebounders, the Spurs have the potential to be a great rebounding team if they can get some contributions from their forwards.

White simply hasn't been the SG we were hoping for so far this season. Keldon keeps showing his limitations as a human bowling ball on offense and a no show on defense.

Maybe the starting guards should be Jones at PG (God, did I write that?) and Murray at SG (God, did I write that?) with Vassell at SF. That could leave McDermott on the floor at PF without too much of a loss on team defense.

Jones is small, but the SOB is crafty around the paint and gets a lot of FTs. He's obviously the smartest player on the team IMHO and that count's for something when you look at the rest of the players who are being expected to make good decisions on the offensive end.

it! Bring back Primo and start all over with him at SG and build around that.

White is playing great defense but his offense is just not good right now. It wouldn't even be bad if the Spurs just had another scorer but out of White, Vassel, Murray, Keldon and Walker, so far white is the weakest link offensively when so many have said he was the best player on the team. There's no more Aldrige and Demar excuses and everyone of the young wings has improved this early year except for White.
The natural scorer was sent to DLeague..

Samanic had character issues going into the draft(ghosted his Euro team for example) and ended up busting though. Got to believe Buford overrode the rest of the front office on that one. He must have been crushed when he didn't pan out.

Serious question. Did anybody in the NBA ever become a star after spending their first season or two in G-League? Seems like the G-League prepares players to be obedient role players more than anything. I get the value of G-League when you're drafting late 1st or 2nd rounders and your main roster doesn't have the available minutes because they're in contention mode(Duncan era for instance). But there's no excuse for it now.

We're watching this team at its ceiling. That's it. It won't get any better than this. They'll keep it close against good teams, beat the dregs of the league more than not & at the end, they'll be at about 35 wins. They'll be this team until they get better players. Not one person on this roster is more than a glorified role player. Not one person on this team knows how to win or is capable of being an alpha.

The biggest difference from the last few years is that my expectations are firmly in check and the losses aren't frustrating. They're expected. Talent wins. Character, playing hard..blah blah blah. Those things are all important but winning is about having the smartest and best talent. Derozan & Aldridge proved what they are in their time here. Betas. Don't miss them at all.

Derrick white is embarrassing. I fail to see him provide anything of value. The first quarter Mavs run happened the second DeJounte went ti the bench and White took over the show. This team looks disjointed and feeble any time he has the ball.
If we had two DeJountes instead of him we'd be pretty solid
