Either these guys have no idea where to go on defense or the plan is to leave shooters open on the three point line. Either way is a terrible look
Spurs could have won a few more games last year if Pop didn't throw some awful tanking lineup's out there tbh.
It was a possibility that they could have been better than Utah, Portland, Houston, and possibly even Minnesota with the questions about the Gobert fit with Sochan continuing to improve and Vassell being a potential all-star along with Wemby.

Not to mention a senile 75 year old man yelling at you to stop booing a player from the opposing team. Who’s gonna pay money to get told by an out of touch man how to support your team.
How does Brian Wright still have a job![]()
Don't forget Lavine being out and Caruso getting hurt during the game. I legitimately don't think they'd be the ing Aces right now.![]()
I thought the exact same way. I’ve had some bad takes through the years but this might be my worst.
The ‘Let’s go Bulls’ chants to end the game… Damn.
What does RC do nowadays besides up his liver daily?![]()
The Cowboys and even the few Texans fans have people excited. There's even a good amount of Eagles and Niners fans you see around town that will keep people not really caring until mid-late January/February.
I thought they'd win 35 games. JFC I thought I was being conservative.
I’d be fine even with no win steak. Just one here and there for moral
Vassell is not an all star player and he was hurt a good portion of last year.
Spurs got many lucky gift wins from other teams tanking. There were many tanking teams for Wemby last year. The Spurs aren't seeing teams tanking this year.
Not sure it's fair to judge him by this failure. It really is on Pop to teach them to play defense. I get having weak links but having nobody other than the greatest prospect in twenty years able to play a lick of defense is on the the coach. WTF Pop?
Starting to think that Vassell is a low bbiq chucker and maybe not a rising star
Even that would be decent, at this point.
We are all going to be blowing this team again if they upset the Rockets on Monday![]()
Best Primo reference I've seen so far
ROFL even worse knowing patfo allowed that flasher to stick around because they saw him as their “PG” when the dude has logged 0 minutes in the nba since that incident even when he’s on the clippers now.
Honestly, the sniffers are basically the people who think Wemby's struggles are on everybody else and that he has nothing to do with it. I thought folks had started to accept that Wemby's still trying to figure out how the read an NBA court and accept that he's not usually open during actual passing windows and that making low-percentage passes to him isn't good for Wemby or the team. I guess the break reset everyone's brains or something. I can't believe folks are complaining about him having to reach to get passes when the whole ing point of "just throw it to him" was that his teammates could throw away from the defense and still hit him because of his reach. Other teams will stop the Spurs from throwing easy passes to him. If Victor needs easy passes, then he needs the offense to create those looks rather than freestyling.
What we learned is that Wemby has a very narrow execution window after entry passes. Most of his successful scores come from him making immediate decisions upon the catch. Getting him more of those looks is a good goal to establish, but you can't build on offense on Victor dashing into the paint with his hand up. You need timing. His dive should be sync'd with penetration or at least some other movement. Right now, you basically have Victor possessions and possessions where the Spurs are trying to run something. I don't know what Pop is doing, but you really shouldn't have that distinction. Victory possessions should be the result of the guys running something, but for some reason, we're seeing way too many trips where the offense completely breaks down, and on many of those the breakdown starts when Wemby doesn't execute his responsibilities and is instead trying to call for a pass.
At least in terms of upside, his floor game works better against centers than it does against forwards. The Spurs need to go smaller if they're going to give Victor a shot as the starting five. Sochan can be the starting PF, but they need to just play a PG with speed and not Osman or Branham. For s' sake, the Spurs problem is not that their small guards give up too many points. If that is actually Pop's reasoning for playing these units, he's definitely lost the plot.
EDIT: Since I'm already in here trying to clean up typos -- Yes, these are easily the best teammates Wemby has ever had. I hope folks are just meming when they suggest his former teams are better. Honestly believing that would suggest terrible talent evaluation, or at least an inability to calibrate performance to abstract it from compe ion.

Wright is picking the lineups?
Fair enough tbh
I meant the "draft pick" part of your post.
I mean essentially yeah![]()
Spurs can't throw a pass to Wemby to save their lives. Morons, all of them.
Also, Pop is a straight up loser at this point. Impossibly bad at coaching, as evidenced by the same ing thing happening game after game after game after game after game x 16, and counting.
There needs to be a shakeup. I don't care what -- but it's way ing overdue.
