I thought of two options:

Option one : The san antonio people have breakfast on the road. That should make us hungry at four for dinner.






Option 2 : We could scrap dinner. The San Antonio people could have a good lunch when we get to houston and meet the Houston people for a pregame drink around five thirty.

I say this because if the Houston people have work that could make a leisurely dinner difficult for them- getting out of work at five, making it through traffic might get them to the restaurant way late anyway.

I think I like option two better. We can have lunch and shop.

The drinks with the houston people will be nice because it should fit all our schedules the best- theirs for work and ours for the early tip.

Then grab a snack at the game if we get hungry.

Since I am driving I will probably grab a snack on the way home to help stay alert.

OK, so you want my input on dinner time, etc? If that tip off time is correct at 7 pm, then having a real dinner is going to be tough to pull off. I can't speak for Enigma but my wife and I could get to PF Chang's by around 5:30, I think. Which makes for a problem for all you guys going to the game. I'm not sure how far Changs is from the Toyota Center, but I'd make sure you leave yourselves plenty of time to get there. Houston on a Friday isn't much fun, but the area around the Toyota center on a game day (especially for out of towners) is a . It's laid out kind of like SA's downtown in that there's lots of sudden deads ends and weird one ways, hard to see signs, etc. It's easy to get turned around, or lost or going in circles

So I figure there's two options:
1. If you guys want to eat, then you should get an earlier reservation around 4:30 and we Houston folks can catch up with you. I don't know if Enigma is going to the game, but my wife and I aren't, so you guys can leave and we can stick around to eat dinner there.

2. Eat a big lunch, and we can meet just for drinks.

(Or you could blow off the game and chill with us cool Houston people.)

Ok here is the plan going from the response in here.

Keda- Let me know if you have room for Silver or I or not as soon as you can. No huge rush. It will just affect where we meet up- at your work or at the gas station.

I want to be on the road no later than 9 am. Is that too early for anyone? Speak up by this weekend because I want plans to be finalized on Monday.

When we get to Houston we are going to the Galleria as previously decided. The change is that PF Changs dinner is OFF because of time restraints.

Instead the San Antonio people will have lunch- we can decide that day as a group whether we want to eat when we first get to Houston or shop a bit and eat a little later- depending on how hungry everyone is.

Before the game, I am thinking around 5:OO pm- we can meet Spurs fan and easjer for drinks.

We need to decide where that is going to happen so travel times figured out.

I would like to get to the Toyata center by 6:15 so we can get in and not feel rushed.


If this sounds agreeable to everyone then let me know. If you hate it then make an alternate suggestion.

Again I want all the details worked about no later than Monday so we all know what we are doing.

OK, so after looking at mapquest and from what enigma's telling me we might not have to scrap Chang's after all. It would only be a fifteen minute drive for me and my wife, and I think we could get out of there early enough for a 4:30 GTG. I haven't actually discussed this my wife (who is out of town at the moment) so that's not a guarantee, but I'm fairly certain of it.

With that said, I'm down with just doing drinks as well. I know of at least one place where the margaritas kick ass, and I have a long list of alcoholic friends who could recommend a good bar closer to the Toyota Center.

I think you're right. Drinks would be more relaxed. With dinner all of us would have food in our mouths at some point. Drinks are good.
