i'm never jumping ship since i've bene fan in 1998. its just frustrating to see the team around like this. they can't win them all but do they have to lose so many at such a crucial time of the season?
They're playing fine. 4th game in 5 nights. I know they have no excuse for playing like , but they played amazing last night so cut them slack.

Perfect time for a loss. Now Pop has a little ammo. He can them out, get them refocused, just in time to close out the regular season.

That's what I told myself after we lost to the Lakers.

Sometimes a bad loss is really a positive. The coaches can use this game as an example for the remaining 20+ games.

Have no fear, the playoffs are almost here, then all these meaningless games will be over.

I find it odd how a lot of you Spurs "fans" about respect and the Spurs not getting it, yet when the Spurs lose you abandon them like spoiled milk and disrespect them. Every team loses to a bad team. Detroit lost to LA also, they lost to the Hawks also, so just sit tight and wait until June rolls around.

This was a crappy loss but the schedule this last week has been friggin ridiculous. Two back to backs within 5 days and the fact that we had a 9:30 game last night and had to fly back for this one tonight. The guys are wiped out. A little rest tomorrow and we should be back on track against the Rockets. It's always painful to lose to the Lakers but it's one loss in a long season.

From my vantage point, Timmy had zero energy. By the look on his face most of the game, he had nothing in the tank.

Sure the spurs were tired, and it was a pretty sucky loss, But at least we got to see Air Barry.

Barry played well. Everyone else was tired. Half of the Spurs' losses come on the tail end of back to backs, and remember, there are no back to backs in the playoffs.

im not broken up about it, i went to the game and it was a little depressing at the time, but its nothing to freak out about. although when kwame brown and luke walton look like good players, you know you had some problems with D.

Thats the dumbest damn post in this thread full of dumbass posts.

    Gratz!

Whooopety-doo! Spurs lost to the Fakers. Thank God the Playoffs are 7 game series and single elimination. If I were a Spurs fan (or a Piston fan about a week ago), thats about all I would take out of this game.

Coach Jackson reminded me that when an opposing player misses a shot (i.e. he shoots the ball but it fails to go through the spherical cylinder)... I should probably try to retrieve it before someone else does.... I tried that tonight and got 10 rebounds.... Coach is a genius!

Coach said, "Listen up Kwame, you're a giant muscular athlete... On the outside you may look like Hercules but on the inside you are a soft as a Hostess Twinkie”.... “When we play the Spurs tonight, pretend you are Shaq...Every time Duncan catches the ball in the low-post, plant your giant forearm in his kidneys and hold your ground....I guarantee you good things will happen”....

It worked! Coach Phil just knows this stuff....

Unfortunately the whole team seems so sure that they are going to lose the second half of back to back games that they don't even bother to show up. It's hard to convince the team that it's a bad loss. Hopefully he'll light them up for the lack of effort. They've done just enough this year that Pop can't pull out the soft speech in a presser.
