I find that very hard to believe with the fines and the paying the luxcury taxes
Cuban is not losing billions, he has a surplus next year which is why he's lowering the ticket prices and season-ticket prices. There will be game tix available for $2 and my season tix will be a lot less. He wanted to pass on some of the profits to the fans, do a Google search.

i wasn't dissing you for rooting for the suns, i'm just messing with you. i'll be the first to admit, i'd be rooting for the suns if the spurs had beaten us, probably not the pistons though. it owuld have to be the suns and if the spurs had beaten the suns then the heat/pistons winner, but i would root for the heat first because i like wade
Very true. This game, much like all the others we've seen throughout the playoffs, was officiated poorly. But even with that, it wasn't to one team's advantage. Bad calls on both sides. I think most fans can agree that Bennett Salvatore is the worst out there. How that guy has survived for 24 years is beyond me.
The Mavs just didn't show up and deserved to have their asses handed to them. The starting 5 was just atrocious. I wish the Suns had beat them by 50 if they could have. But Dallas is still the better team and still has more talent. It would be a rare sight to see another game like this in this series. Regroup and come out for Thursday night's game.
So what? The Spurs had their asses handed to them in Game 2 of the last round and nobody counted them out yet. Anyway, I'll be back after Game 5 so I can read some more of your Suns cheerleading.
Mavs lower ticket prices
Dallas Business Journal - February 9, 2006by Dave MooreStaff Writer
Dallas Mavericks tickets for $2?
That's not a typo.
The organization announced Thursday that it will drop the prices on some of its tickets next season, even offering $2 tickets for seats at the American Airlines Center's terrace level at 10 games.
Tickets currently priced at $50 will be lowered to $48, $35 tickets will cost $33, $19 tickets will go down to $18 and $10 tickets will drop to $9.
At 10 pre-selected games fans will be able to purchase terrace level tickets for $2, $10, $20 and $32, Mavs owner Mark Cuban said. Lower bowl ticket prices will remain the same.
In an e-mail to the Dallas Business Journal, Cuban wrote that a reduction in player payroll is triggering the reduction.
"I'm anticipating a reduction in payroll next season and want to pass on the savings so more fans can experience the fun of a Mavs game at American Airlines Center," he said in the press release. "My goal is to keep the Dallas Mavericks an exciting and affordable source of entertainment regardless of what your entertainment budget is. With $2 tickets, Mavs games will be more affordable than ever."
A Dallas Mavericks official said that the drop in ticket prices will mean a decrease in revenue for the team, but that crowd attendance hasn't been a problem for the team, which sells out every year.
Season ticket-holders will be able to renew their season tickets at a lower-rate next year, said a Mavericks spokeswoman. Single-ticket sales for the 2006-2007 season will start in late September or early October, she said.

Easy to hand the Spurs their asses when you get Duncan off the floor for over half of a quarter.
I'm not whining about the officiating, there are ref whining fans of every team, goi.
Pretty funny the only thing Mav fans have to say to us now is rubbing in the fact that they beat us. And then taking cheapshot comments like calling us bandwagon Suns fans when you morons would be doing the exact same thing if Spurs won.
Any comments on the game tonight? Or do you guys not like talking about your team when they're losing? Best stat of the night was Dirk's 42 game streak of 20+ getting SMASHED. It's hilarious really, during the WCSF all these Mav fans were coming down on us for "talking about the past" when we would lay down the trophy smack. Now the only thing Mav fans can talk about is beating the Spurs, which could turn out to be the one milestone in Mavs history.
OH, THE IRONY!
Spurs have an off playoff series and that makes history for another franchise. Good stuff.
so does cuban not think he will resign terry?
lowering the prices $2 for 10 games is not that big of a deal anyhow
and have course cuban will get a big pat on the back
Cuban will give Terry a big ass deal though he wouldn't give Nash one. Then in a few years when Terry's at $20 mil a season Cuban can blame him.
Dirk picked up a quick second foul and even in the slo-mo tonight Doug Collins or maybe it was Kerr talked about how Nash bumped into Dirk first and then tripped up Terry before the quick second on Dirk. A very quick second and Dirk sits out for most of the quarter. Anyway, this is not an excuse to why we lost, it's to point out that such examples matter little unless you're a big whiner. Don't give me this b.s. about Duncan, he had a monstrous series and his sitting out a HALF a quarter is ca-ca unless his sorry team couldn't pick up the slack because they suck.
What? A Mavs fan ing about the refs? Ha!
Beating the Spurs=Championship for Mavs fan. Anything else is gravy.
Am I on a Spurs forum? Am I having a nightmare? Somebody Slap me! I need to wake up!

Am I banned again? I thought I already posted something about the game and how there should be NO ing about the refs. The refs don't cause Dirk and Terry to play like complete . They don't let you have Adrian ing Griffin to be your 2nd highest scorer. Refs call what they see, and though it may not always be the right call, they ultimately aren't the reason for your team shooting like .
I'm over tonight's game already. Dallas can't play any worse than they did tonight. Looking forward to Thursday night's game already.
Comments on the game?
Yeah, the Suns played great because we sucked it up on both ends of the floor and allowed Leandro to gain some confidence, Nash to get within a foot of the basket and fell for Raja's flops. There are no excuses and there are no worries; it's an even series, not like we're down a game and now we play one in our house. I will admit the Suns make me uneasy because they are such a streaky team but it doesn't mean that I don't think we can beat them. They had a great game we didn't bring any game tonight, it won't be the same on Thursday. Since when has Dirk played so horribly and not bounced back? JHo's alright from his scary rolled ankle and will play on Thursday and Raja, who knows?
Full strength? Minus Amare. Minus KT. Not exactly full strength.
Kurt Thomas played and was available. He doesn't fit into the team's plans for this series and won't play much anyway. And the Amare excuse isn't even valid as he wasn't on the roster to start the season so they knew they wouldn't have his services for the duration.
Hey ChumpDumper, why don't you repost everything I wrote? Let me help you. I said the officiating was not an excuse to our loss. I NEVER blame the officiating for a loss. I might point out ty reffing here and there but I never blame a loss on the officiating. ty officiating is to be expected, it's always been there and teams have always overcome it. Learn how to read and stop taking doing hackjobs on my posts. Way to spin a story.
True. Mavs shoulda swept these guys. And the Amare excuse isn't even valid
I dunno about the rest of Spurs fans, but I'm ok with being called a bandwagon Suns fan. It doesn't bother me. I even had a friend of mine tell me that in person the other day. I'm a basketball fan. I like the game of basketball. So whenever I see some good players, I like them too, even if they're not on my team. I've liked Steve Nash since he played for Dallas (despite what other Spurs fans thought of that) and was always hoping some miracle would happen to get him to SA. I've liked Raja Bell since he played for 2 seconds with San Antonio. I thought we should have kept Barbosa, and last but not least, I've liked Boris Diaw since Tony Parker came over from France and would post on his website (only in French back then) about how he had this buddy Boris who was really good. Not to mention because of the timing schedules and stuff this year, I'm pretty sure I watched more Suns games than I did Spurs games. I really started to like the whole team. It's not really about cheering against Dallas. If Dallas were up against the Nuggets right now, I'd be going for Dallas. That or sitting in the corner in the fetal positiong wondering what the world is coming to.
