I used to not mind the Cowboys, but after seeing Mav Fan in action I can't root for any Dallas based team.

    Dallas Fan sucks.
I figured that one out about 30 years ago

That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. KG doesn't have multiple rings, and he's ALL skill.

Romo, I don't know, but I'm impressed, you haters can flame, but the way he went back out there and tried to redeem himself after that screw up, I was impressed.
What the other choice did he have!!?? Become the first pro football player to refuse to go in for the last play of the game so he could sit on the bench and cry over his choke of historical proportions? You give this guy way too much credit in this situation. If you were in his shoes, wouldn't you go back in and try for a miracle?

And sorry to kick you again, but your comment was also pretty senseless re. KG. KG may have all the skill AND heart in the world, but last I checked, basketball was a team game and no individual so great can alone carry a team to championships without at least a mediocre supporting cast, such as KG had when Spreewell and Cassell were in Minnesota. I think maybe that is why KG does not have multiple rings.

Seahawks are gonna get annihilated by the Bears.
At least the Seahawks will get a shot at the Bears! And I wouldn't call the Bears a lock for anything, regardless of how good their defense is. They still have Rex Grossman at quarterback, which is worse than Tony Romo.

What's more, I haven't heard about any Soldier Field playoff mystique in, oh, over 20 years. So while you're just responding to the bombs being dropped on your team and are getting defensive, your comments aren't really holding ground.

THANK YOU!!! I know that the Dallas Cowboys have some grass roots supporters in San Antonio over the years. but now that Dallas is probably better than the Spurs now and Spurs fans take some smack, its funny to see those same fans buddy up with those same Dallas fans when it comes to the Cowboys.

Spurs fans, Dallas is hated territory. Become a Texans fan, even if they passed on Reggie Bush and Vince Young. , become a Saints fan for all I care.

I am very glad that Dallas lost that game.

Jesus Christ Grande David you not only quoted me once, not twice, but three times.

My opinions are just that, I believe Romo will show up next year and be a major impacting quarterback, he has the ability to. A lot of what I said was in the heat of the moment so just bare that.

Yes I know all about sports being "team games", but a figure as important as a QB needs to be the one to get everyone going and that'll lead to possibly miracious things.

  9. #309
Romo is tearing up at the press conference, poor guy. I know he'll bring it next year.

I think getting rid of Parcells, not TO, would solve more problems.
Keep TO? The league leader in drops? The cancerous nightmare? TO is just not very good. In fact, he sucks. Get rid of him.

I think Romo had a great season, all things considered. I am also not one to believe that he will not overcome this terrible error by next season. It happened, but it was clearly on him. Now, he made the damn Pro Bowl, and not even starting nearly a full season. That's pretty damn impressive. We'll see what the future holds!

Absolute ing idiots. If you aren't mature enough to watch sports without completely hating another CITY then you shouldn't be allowed to watch sports. Football is not basketball. The Spurs and Cowboys have nothing to do with each other.

I swear, some of the Spurs fans around here are so damn stupid it almost makes me embarrased to be a Spurs fan. Almost.

Seriously, Grande. You are better than that. Most of the Cowboys fans posting in this thread are SPURS fans and hate the Mavs as much as anyone. You will find that the majority of Dallas natives quit on the Cowboys before the playoffs started. Check out Dirk_Nowitzki's post at the beginning of this thread for confirmation.

I love SA and the Spurs will always be my team, but does that mean that I can't root for an NFL team since my city doesn't have one? Or would you rather I have been an Oilers fan like you were for so many years? Did you give up on them because H-Town is a hole, or because they might have ty fans? Of course you didn't, so why would you expect Cowboys fans to do the same?!

I have been a Cowboys fan since I was a fetus and that is not going to change because of some asshole fans. EVERY team has asshole fans. You making fun of people for being LOYAL is beyond comprehension.

  13. #313
??? The personal judgment? I simply stated that its funny how the same Spurs fans buddy up with the same smack talking Mavs fans win it comes to the Cowboys. It was merely an observation, and I do not recall "making fun" of anyone. I think that you are a bit sensitive about the outcome of yesterday's game. My comment was more a statement in line with San Antonio's lack of a pro football franchise than the value of placing one's allegiance with a particular franchise.

And you really do not need to speculate whether I'm better or worse in any capacity until you actually get to know me.

  14. #314
Melmart, and that remark about becoming a Texans fan was in pure jest.

You know, Manny - it does seem like I'm carrying TO's child with the way I defend him in here. I just hate idiocy like this...

That same TO lead the league in TDs - had the most yards by a Dallas WR since a guy named Irvin - and is a mismatch in any game, ever. This 'cancerous nightmare' that you speak of have about three drops more than Torry Holt and Steve Smith - both of who are considered pretty decent WRs.

You hate him. We get it. So say "Get rid of TO - I don't like him." But don't put it under the guise of 'he sucks' when he's the best Dallas WR to suit up in the past decade.

His at ude is repulsive and cancerous. That is not idiocy, but your comment shows obvious bias. And why are you referencing Manny? Please bring his quote to light.

And I don't hate TO or anyone for that matter, but am merely expressing my sports opinion, sort of kicking back, if you will, after a long international flight. I could care less whether any team signs any player, actually. Besides, I've got other concerns and interests than to "hate" anyone. And to whom are you refering when you say "we get it"? What the are you talking about?

  18. #318
TO sucks. Drop him like his passes. His at ude is repulsive and cancerous. Done. Enough said. That is not idiocy, but your comment shows obvious bias. And why are you referencing Manny? Please bring his quote to light.
...well, i dislike 'to' very much but i don't let it affect my judgment. so here is what i think:

    1. to is a very good receiver....top 5 in the league, imo
    2. he is a cancer and his at ude is repulsive, imo

the question has never been whether 'to' is good, cause he is great, it has always been...is he worth the trouble? ....i don't think he is worth the trouble, dude is a chump.

I'm just glad that I've accomplished my mission, which is to plant a few light Cowboys criticisms in jest in hopes of creating a feeding frenzy of amateur analyis and, better yet, weak smack. This is fun, actually. Its been far too long since I've had time to goof off like this.

Before I begin (and yes, I know the argument will be that Dallas has four pro sports teams and San Antonio one, but hear me out), five fans greeted the team last night. Five.

Anyways, the morning after and just some brief thoughts from me about the end of this season and the beginning of next.

    1. Without Tony Romo playing like a NFL quarterback, there is no playoff game blog this season, so props to him.

    2. An off-season as the perceived starter and the way the season ended should send Romo into the break with a renewed drive to become better and not have disappointment this time next year.

    3. I like Mike Zimmer for the most part, but he's not Parcells' guy. I think it's time Mike Zimmer explore other opportunities. The pass coverage is non-existant (and there's no damned reason DeMarcus Ware should have been in pass coverage). The pass rush (save for Ware) is non-existant. Ware's impact will only become greater when the other side can get a push.

    4. I don't think Parcells can leave without giving it one more try with Romo the likely starter at the beginning of the season.

I agree Zimmer has got to go.

If Parcells goes, Stoops has got to be our guy - but I'd like to see Bill stay one more year.

What happens to TO? If Ted Ginn or Dwayne Jarrett are available at pick #21, we have to take him and drop TO, IMO
