Both teams need this win - Ginobili, Duncan, Nash, and Barbosa seem to be the only ones that realize that.
    What about Parker?

Worst stat for Spurs at half is -6 RBs.

Well, actually Tim's 4 - 11 is just as bad.

oh my god did anyone else notice Oberto trotting at a ginger pace back on defense when there were 4 seconds left, leading to him fouling the man with the ball?

I think Parker is riding off his high after being picked for his second All-star year.

Tim might not be shooting well, but his four monstrous blocks on Stoudemire and Marion have had a profound effect. 2 years ago, Stoudemire would have leapt high enough to avoid a Duncan block, but he just doesn't have that same lift.

The officiating has been fine so far. TD has 3 fouls and I'm not complaining. WTF are you ing about?
I complained like hours ago at the 10 min. mark in the second - you've just brought it up on every page. I don't know how me upset about Amare's foul is any different than you complaining about the Elson block.

Duncan earned each of those fouls and each of those blocks. When he tried to go Dirk and slap down, he got whistled (just how Amare got his first), but when he was going up top for the blocks, it was clean.

if that is the truth then i think its safe to call Fabricio Oberto the worst starter in NBA history

    that was damn awfully pathetic

he did gain a little bit of more speed but it was too late, leading to him bumping the ball handler

Damn, I really wish we had Kurt Thomas out there defending Tim Duncan...

And I really wish D'Antoni would stop making Nash guard Parker. Marion should be guarding Parker. Nash should be guarding Bowen.

Oh, and where the did Raja Bell go? I haven't heard a peep from him.
They have the same amount of points and Nash has 6 assists to Parker's 2. I say that matchup is pretty even.

That's what I was going to say. When Oberto replaced Tim when Timmy got his 3rd. I was like, Oh No - Oberto can't keep up with the Spurs small lineup (or the Suns).

Marion can't guard TP. He'd pick up fouls and have to work too hard defensively which takes him out of games easily. He's one of the streakiest players in the game, and if you make him work defensively he isn't as explosive in the 2nd half.

The 14-4 FT disparity and 3 PFs on TD is also a concern. 4 FTs on 44 shots ??

    Absolute bull .

Marion always picks up the defensive assignments on point guards that Nash has trouble defending, and he usually does a fantastic job of preventing that point guard from going off.

Marion isn't streaky at all, and I've never seen his defensive effort affect his offensive effort.

You guys took a lot of jumpers and Duncan had a bunch of point-blank shots where the Suns just gave up on defense. When Ginobili drives past everyone and gets uncontested layups.
