I wonder if this guy got a guarantee. , have to learn how to spell another name.
Apparently it's not safe to meet up with him in a dark alley.

There's a chance that we - or somebody else - promised him a pick somewhere in the draft (even at the end of the second round. Hence the attendance...
This is like having shane heal and romain sato trying out again...i'm not ing, cause they already have a good roster, but why bother? Why not trade the picks for cash, or some hookers from thailand?
Giorgos Printezis is a show up kind of guy.

So
Splitter - Draft and Stash, likely over in 2k8. Good talent at the 28
Printezis - Draft and Stash. Pick 58, pretty close to a write off
Williams - Interesting. If the Spurs can teach character, work ethic and a commitment to defense, good pick. Otherwise, somewhat of a waste of 33. Personally I would have picked Fazekas, McRoberts, Nichols, Byars, or McGuire over him. Hope he works out for the Spurs.
Dowdell went undrafted - interesting. Someone send that man an invitation to our summer league team.
I just finished ordering my custom Giorgos Printezis jersey.
Makes you wonder if the Spurs told him that they would draft him with one of their picks (obviously their last pick). If that's the case, then the only question I have is what was his draft alias?
Maybe it was George Prince. Nah, too close to his real name. My guess is Mike Oxbig or Craven Morehead.

Nircho from the greek league huh? Well Spurs went 3 for 3 on draft picks and didn't trade out. I still trust that they know more than I do about their prospects.
Yes! As a fellow Greek I am very happy...!
The force is with him, Mucho Props for hanging around. # picks to go and your still there? man, guys got guile. I dont even know his ability, but he already has won points with me.

You're right. Foreign players also seem to really cherish the experience of being at the Draft, even if they aren't projected to go in the first round. I love it, very entertaining. I would do the same thing. And Lee just cemented his fan favorite status.
As SAS likes to say...IT'S OVAH!!!
My guess is that the euros are draft and stash (tiago for one year, the greek until he proves that he is ready) and Williams gets to take on White for the final roster spot next year.
With all the "Spurs off season is ruining our team" talk last year (note the trophy) Im not going to judge anything that we have just done.
CIA Spurs are on top of things.
I think Williams goes D league if he makes it to October.
I think scola and white may play for the final spot...maybe, hopefully.
I guess having just won the Championship one really cant about keeping essentially the same roster...
I really wanted someone young and exciting to play as in NBA '08 though. Fernandez or Bellinelli would have been optimum. Alas, Spurs stay Spurs and that will always be under the radar and boring. And as usual we wont be able to grade this draft for 5 years.
At this point, I just want to see Scola. PERIOD.![]()

Two outta the three picks I like. With Splitter they got an athletic big man with some defensive and rebounding ability. He's been projected as a lottery pick the last couple of times he was in the draft, and again this year.
Williams I have no idea about. This Greek guy, Printezis has got prototypical physical attributes and skills for a long SF. Range, rebounding and, supposedly, an at ude. I think this draft may pay off faster than we might expect.
Thats the problem when your first pick is always 28 or deeper. Instant gratification ain't happenin.
I understand why RC did this actually. We may "need" to get younger, but as of right now we have a good team, and he said that there arent really any spots open.
We're probably going to keep splitter and Greek overseas. I doubt williams will make the team.
is the Greek guy under contract? Is he someone that will challenge to make the team this year?

ESPN saying the greek dude may have been traded
